I'm not impressed with the Predacons. They just gave the 4 limb cons giant backpacks so Razorclaw didn't have to form very much of Predaking's torso. It's like they form Razorclaw's Evolution armor. It works in that Razorclaw looks to be a good standalone figure. My only compaint is his mane pattern...

RiD Menasor was a few bucks off, and got me a $12 coupon which I used on RiD Windblade ...I haven't opened Windblade yet, but I doubt I'll be disappointed in a figure that was basically free. I finally opened Windblade. I was wrong. The way the tail fin folds into the legs is clever, and there's no...

Clay - I've seen the $30 Leaders at 2 Walmarts near me, too. Do you know of any that are still selling Leaders? I'm assuming it's chain wide. TLK Deluxes were $20 at Target and TRU, but $16 at Walmart. I wonder if $20 at Walmart means Target will be even higher, or if Walmart's just catching up. In ...

I stopped by TRU Saturday and found some Lego (and a Q-bert non-Lego) for 5% off. Most other stuff was 10%. But, with TRU's normal prices being a bit higher than most other places, and the all sales are final/no refunds or exchanges policy, that's still a worse deal than Walmart or Target, where you...

Walmart has PotP Leaders at US$30, so I picked up Optimus Prime/Orion Pax . I like him, but not enough that I'd've been satisfied paying full price. The vehicle mode is just bad. Why is the best representation of G1 Optimus' vehicle mode a movie toy? Between this and the CHUG that came in a two-pack...

Walgreen's Shockwave and Sideswipe - Like Jetfire, they're Voyager sized figures, with Legends level transformations, sold at Deluxe price, without functioning knees. I don't know why I bought Sideswipe. I don't have any particular affinity for the character, and he doesn't look much like his G1 se...

PotP Blackwing This is the first PotP figure I've bought that hasn't impresed me. He's CW Air Raid, heavily modified to make the combining jet mode work. But, the combining jet doesn't work all that well. It's held together by a single peg, the same size used to connect the combiner hands, so it's ...

May 14 is less than two months away. If they were as efficient at running their business as they are at shutting down their business, maybe they'd still be in business. K. B. Toys may try to come back by buying all the toys that were produced to go to TRU this year, but will now be surplus. (CNN) I ...

For the legs in torso mode, there's a tiny tab where they meet that needs to be awkwardly slid together to make it all tight. After shoving the legs down, try slipping that tab into the notch. Maybe that's what's getting you. That was it. Thanks. I opened Sludge and Slag, and made Volcanicus. He's ...

To appease the local fans who are eagerly awaiting the PotP stuff, the local Wal-Mart got.... ....... some RiD figures. Oddly enough, they got the one I wanted. RiD Bludgeon - Despite having one of the stranger tank modes I've ever seen, and whoever did the card art deserves a medal for trying to k...

PotP Hungrr and Elita-1 - I noticed that, with so many leaks, and pics, and discussions of leaks and pics, that buying a TF had stared to seem closer the end of my experience with a figure than the beginning. Instead of appreciating a figure for what it was, I was comparing it to the ideas I'd alre...

He needs the hat and coat, obviously. :) I found a grapnel gun from my actual Rorschach figure, and it fits in Chromedome's hand OK, though C can't grip the trigger. I was trying to figure out what to do with Chromedome's weapons and Stylor, when I realized the non-seat weapon is the same mold as B...

I found TLK Grimlock and Optimus on clearance at Walmart today, US$13 each. I almost didn't get Grimlock. I was checking the form taped to a peg to see when the new stuff was coming in, when a kid grabbed Grimlock and wandered off. His parents must've said no, because he put it back a minute later. ...

Rumble and Frenzy always give me a headache because they were both blue in their most prominent portrayals back in the day (albeit Rumble had lavender details in the cartoon and Frenzy was more of a toy-accurate blue when he got to do stuff in the comics and tertiary media), so the red guy is basic...

The fu manchu is sculpted in. Also, the hinges you mentioned should be grey are grey in this deco. The exhaust pipes are more silver, so it's not a perfect match, but it looks good. Also, RU's hands are black, matching the overhang parts, so they stand out less in Winnebago mode. The Deluxe might be...

I went ahead and convinced myself that I needed a PotP Rodimus Prime ...Maybe it's 'new toy' syndrome that will wear off, or that my son and I bonded on a short trip to go pick him up from the store, I don't know. He's fun to fiddle with, and the Winnebago mode is pretty solid. All of that said, I ...
