well, its from the top of HIS car mode. its where his force chip goes into. in his car mode, the turrents are faced towards the back, where flames come out the back to make him go faster (of course in the show)

hmmmm. i still think it was influence by the fact that unicron was inside of galvatron when he and starscream flew into the energon sun. and it looks like that megatron and starscream are on the energon sun during the beginning of GF. so i think it may still be part of unicrons influence
