I'm sorry I didn't really want to bring this thread to a debate, or double-post, but :

Dude, I get that modern politicians are mostly crooks but I'm genuinely curious as to what advantage you see in a country with a ruling class ?

Yeah I get that, although at the moment I'm more like Stan from that episode of Southpark where he sees everything as shit. Phases of life I guess. When you're numb anything emotionally intense feels good just to feel anything at all, and during those periods of fragility even a episode of Lassie ca...

Most of those memories are lost in the murky depths of childhood I'm afraid... I'm pretty impressed there's a music video at all, special effects and even going so far as actually plugging the jack into his guitar. Gee you're right about the string ! Makes me wonder what might have gone wrong for th...

Sorry, I thought you meant some kind of euphemism. I haven't heard of the Goldbergs.

Stan Bush brings out the Kingsman in me too... wait a minute...

Sorry for necroposting. I felt I had to mention Akira. It's such a monolith of awesome I'm afraid I'd even have to put it all the way at the top of my list.

I could add Maus as well, while I'm here.

yay opinions, thanks all. I've been trying to convince myself I'm being too harsh. If I were to take off my nostalgio-goggles for some of the stuff from the 80s-90s I'd probably have a brain fart as well. Thing is, I don't think there was any chance I was going to find the film any good. It's like s...

Aye, granted Affleck's haircut was probably the best bit in the whole thing. And I suppose Scott Pilgrim made for an almost interesting choice for Lex... wait, damn, wrong actor. I must admit that I'm ashamed to be pouring so much hate onto all this work done by so many people, only he-who-must-not-...

Batman vs Superman... possible flame thread

It's been a long time since I read the comic, but I remember it as a journey meant to instil a sense of humility to the character and create a bridge between humanity and supermanitude... am I remembering it wrong ? It was probably a mistake to watch the thing in the first place. I intentionally avo...

No news isn`t always good news. Hope you`re still writing.

Me I feel like I`ve been in a time loop for the last two three five years. What`s that saying, freedom is having everything to gain, or nothing to lose, depending on how you look at it.

Medical marijuana is kinda cool though.

70s kung fu movies!

There`s just something about serious stories of justice and redemption portrayed with fake eyebrows, not to mention the classic overdubbing and overacting. I find them fascinating, and not in the 'so bad it's good' sense.

Heh. Well I was about to mention 'the IT crowd', happens to be written by one of the writers of black books. Umm... is 'heroes' still considered 'good'? Not only it was a gut-wrenching shapeless splodge of last nights' curry that should have been a much more enjoyable experience, but on top of that ...
