Since I am trash, I am naturally attracted to trash, so of course when I saw Coors Light in a store, I had to buy one. Who wants to know how that went? the problem with coors lite is that it's deceptively strong and has almost no taste which means you can too easily drink a dozen or so very quickly...

I think it was Titanic then that sort of changed the studio mindset that "big movie must come out in the summer", though again, it would be interesting to see what those numbers would have been had they had summer releases

I think we're kind of forgetting the combined strength of reviews, word of mouth and pre-release hype. There's no doubt Jurassic Park benefited enormously from people going to watch it on release telling their mates "YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!", while Ghostbusters was no doubt hurt by the...

So, while all of y'all where at TFNation, I went to ArcTanGent in a field south of Bristol where I saw a lot of post/alt/noise/math core bands. I have no idea what any of those genres are, but I did find a new favourite band and a new favourite song. And here it is:

anyone could be me. If you looked up nondescript in the dictionary it would be a picture of me (wearing a t-shirt with Getaway mocked up on a crucifix)

Wow, that's very kind; but I think I'd feel uncomfortable having to explain to all the people I meet that I'm not actually you! Plus I know I wouldn't be able to make the whole weekend, just from a cost perspective, so the Friday/Saturday portion would be wasted on me. I'm sure there are other fans...

I kind of want to say yes to this. But I haven't a ticket yet, and I'm wondering what my finances are gonna be like at the end of Nine Worlds this weekend! Argh. Must get organised... If you want to pretend to be me, you can have mine because at the end of the day, nearly £500 for a long weekend in...

And while I'm on the subject of "attention to detail" here's a thing: http://i.imgur.com/0HllW8X.jpg there's a copy of the Sea Fright Real Ghostbusters DVD on the shelf, a Real Ghostbusters board game and Slimer carrying the same food he consumed in an episode of the cartoon which name esc...

That's probably not the best trade to come in on, as you won't recognise at least two of the characters on the cover. But in what can only be an example of the love the artist and writer have for the source, notice the uniforms? Those are the ones from the RGB cartoon, while in the main book the ori...

IDW'S Ghostbusters

Recently, and possibly inspired by the recent movie and also because the trades were available on the cheap I've binged through 90% of IDW's Ghostbusters output and it is excellent. Erik Burnham is very much like James Roberts in that he gets the characters and it feels at times like a subtle mix of...

It's cosmic abeyance, or something. Both Lost Lights existed until one got to close to the other, when the actual one got dragged to limbo while the alt still existed. Once the quantum engines were fixed, the alt one ceased to exist, taking all of its duplicates with it... except Rewind because pres...

If Overlord did do what he said and chomped down on his head, original Rewind's deader than dead because his brain module is toast. Delicious, delicious toast. Besides, if he was alive, alt Rewind would have vanished as the universe sets its timey wimey parallel quantum dimensional bullshit to rights

Actually, Warcry makes a fantastic point: Deathsaurus was leaning to getting the hell out anyway, why not... just let him get there on his own rather than calling back to a previous issue's deus ex get-them-stranded-on-necroworld-a? It would also have made Deathsaurus a fascinating character when he...
