The problem is that a lot of the changes such as the upgrading to Maximals happen after the end of the War- So you'd effectively have a action adventure cartoon about Robots siting about being terribly nice to one another.

that would be so not true, it's more like a cold war, if you read alignment and the wreckers comics, you learn that the predacons are still anti-maximal, and plan to strike one day. there's plenty to write about that. and maybe keep it a continuation about what happened on cybertron during the beast wars, featuring cryotek and more of the vok!

Consider all other TF cartoons- Can you really see them doing a Cold War thriller one with lots of political machinations? Even Beast Wars didn't have more that a bit of politics, but lots of people shooting the crap out of each other.

true, but they could involve, peace doesn't mean there are no fights at all. i mean beast wars was a war between what? fifteen bots at the same time or something? and even then, you wouldn't see them all together a lot. i can see the ancient decepticons without (stolen) maximal upgrades, fighting a war still.

So far this requires knowledge of bad fan-fic, botcon comics, G1/G2, Beast Wars and it's set against a political backdrop. I can understand people wanting a more "mature" cartoon but is it really fair to deprive a generation of kids of Transformers.

Plus that sounds like a rubbish fanwank. And I doubt it would be a very popular toy line “Eh look it’s like in-between and stuff…REPAINTS!!!”:)

They could combine the lack of articulation of G1 figures with the "Bend him over" transformation of Beast Machines figures! Instant hit.

No, they need to make the next series about working out where the Aerialbots were in the movie. It could be them capering around in all sorts of situations, missing flights (SHUT UP DAMMIT), having their wallets nicked and having to wash plates in restaurants, getting lost in hedge mazes, getting confused due to ancient text files and thinking they should be in Scramble City, forgetting which one's Skydive and which one's Fireflight, etc, etc, etc. Guest-starring Snarl as their incapable travel guide, appearing at the start of every episode, having nipped away from the battle to arrange a way home that will run them through all sorts of ker-azy situations.

There, the idea's on the table if Hasbro want it

I am hoping for a job in the colonial services...

We have all pretty much guessed that something will be out running on the coat-tails of the new movie. We're cynics. But we're also fans and want it to be the best thing since the last best thing.

the next series should be a run of spot light shows from different guys form the autobots and decepticons or shows. such as telling a story on bluestreak about being sole surviver of he's city after megs destroyed it. or dig deeper into the past of soundwave, mirage being rich,and the process shockwave went thue to make triplechangers.
