Best of Optimus Prime

Post by Professor Smooth »

OK, when you think of Optimus Prime from the G1 cartoon (US and Headmasters) what do you think of?

I need about 15 scenes. Thanks.

The scene in the Movie when he drives through some Deceps, jumps up, transforms, and blasts a few baddies just before he meets up with Megatron.

BTW, Smooth, I still have that small animated gif I made you on my server. If you'd like a still or something like that, I'd be happy to make you another. Image

That scene in Rebirth where they get caught inside Scorponok, and Cyclonus says something along the lines of: "We've got them, including the invincible Optimus Prime." Before I saw Rebirth again, that was one of the only scenes that stuck in my head throughout the years.

Love that dam scene Image and also when he tries to transform in MTMTE 3 in the begining after the blast from the mine.
how 'bout the scene in ultimate doom part one, when Megs unleashes the humens and Prime gets all squimish about some squishies, and the fight from heavy Metal with the all "honor" thing.
Also in desertion of the dinobots when he tries to stop carly and spike and colapses.
At the end of dark awakaning when he goes into the sun and we see him in the shutle without half of his face.

For me, the scene with Prime that stuck in my head the most was when he was on his death bed, passing the matrix to Magnus. That scene haunted me for a long time, and that coupled with Han Solo being frozen in Carbonite by Vader was the source of almost all of my nightmares as a child.

That's Kremzeek!, m'friend.

I gotta go with a purveying sentiment here as well and say that the entire scene from him getting off the ship to his battle with Megs is just the best.

Well "Megatron must be stopped no matter the cost" Kinda told you he was gonna die and he knew it for some reason too, as if the matrix told him, so it is very sentimental and opne of his best scenes.

I like the scene in Heavy Metal War, when Huffer takes his trailer for him. It shows humility, rather than arrogant pride that he may have otherwise shown.

But I think his rebirth in TROOP was awesome too. Some say he shouldn't have returned so much, but to me, he was THE Transformer, and the episodes I've seen without him in them just aren't the same.
