Character Development Issues

I've only read a few comics, but from what I've seen, they far superior to the cartoon, (although I like that, too).

I mean, Grimlock and Shockwave, treated like basic and one-sided characters in the cartoon, have a 180 degree change in personality in the comic.

And Optimus's comic portrayl is good as well, althogh I don't rally think issue 23 potrays that well. (Blowing himself up over a video game?!?!?!). Then again, Issue 75 potrayed him pretty well.
