Energon is a continuation of Armada.

Interesting. But why the name-change? Is it a continuation like BW/BM or rather like the US G1 and japanese series.
(Which were also kind of a continuation....)

actually it seems a bit more comparable to transformers and transformers: 2010, though the time span is a bit smaller (ten years rather than twenty). that's what it said elsewhere anyway.

Personally it doesn't matter to me. I like the little buggers just the same.

Well hopefully the new series Energon will correct my one major petpeeve with Armada: misnaming characters. For example....

Is it Hotshot or Hotrod? For the first few episodes, they couldn't make up their minds. :\

In the underwater episode (in 'Atlantis') Optimus calls Smokescreen 'Hotshot'.

Hotshot (or so I assume his name to be) in the desert episode (where the kids got sucked into the sandpit) calls his own minicon, Jolt, by the name Grindor.

Is the big sucker of a Decepticon Soundwave or Tidalwave?

And I still don't know which ones' Gridor or Sureshock... :wall:

And to end this little rant, is it just me or has anyone else noticed that as dumb as some of the Decepticons are, I have NEVER heard any of them misname any character. Makes you take another thought on the intelegence of the Autobots, doesn't it? :eyebrow:

From all reports i've seen, Habro was more involved in the quality control for the Energon scripts translations. Which should help avoid name mistakes.

what really pissed me off was the fact that they couldn't decide who was leader-1. early on, both megatron and optimus prime call their minicon leader-1. either they're both on crack, or leader-1 is the minicon equivalent of john smith.

in japan, he's shockwave. in the american version, he's tidal wave.
