Stil? What's that? Sounds like a type of German beer.

One question about the so called Japanese "trailer", was it actually used to promote the film in Japan? It thought it was just a test animation thingey? And if it was used to big up the Japanese release, shouldn't they have droped the line about the movie coming out in 1986, four years past at that point?

It was for promotion to investors and company people, IIRC.

Why do I have a strange feeling that the extras on the Metrodome version are the same as the Madman version?

Same trailer, same episode of Headmasters (but subed rather than dubed), but everything else is new (though the Japanese "Trailer" was on Madman's season one boxset).

But the wonderful thing about DVD's is that six months after they're released (sometimes sooner) they go down to ridiculous prices. A friend of mine picked up the two disc Wicker Man for £2.99 the other day... Three quid for Brit's bare stunt buttocks. Bargin.

Around here if you pick of a dvd the first week it's released you can get films like Batman Begins and Sin City for $15
but after that first week they go up to $20.00 or more.

I paid $20.00 (USA) for the "limited edition" 2-disc in the wooden box version of The Wicker Man.

Sometimes that happens here, most notably in WHSmith where they may have a sale taking money off a DVD, but the price they say the DVD was is never correct.

For example, The Godfather Trilogy was £69.99, now only £25.

HMV and The Music Zone are great for DVD's though. Good prices after very short spaces of time...

Original manufacturer's recommended retail price, usually.

In order for it to be legitimately labelled as "reduced" they have to provide evidence that it's been sold at the higher price. Not necessarily by the store/chain in question, but just anywhere.

HMV have great value sales, but they also take the ****ing piss with stuff that isn't in the sales. Oh, yes, I could buy a boxset of Eastwood westerns for £69.99, or alternatively I could pop into Choices and get the four individual releases for £6 each... gee, tough call...

I once saw Ingrid Pitt surrounded by a huge pile of those... The temptation to set fire to them was just overwhelming...
