Optimus Prime VS. Superman

Post by ironhide_lives »

I know this showdown is not practical, seeing as Superman could probably take out most if not all of the Transformers single handedly. But if Prime ever had to go one-on-one with the Man of Steel, would the power of the Matrix be enough to take him down? Personally, I would say no, but it would enable Prime to put up one helluva fight. Any thoughts?

(Transformers related? Nope. But it's still a cool sig and it could be applied to Galvatron. ;) )

I really don't see what good the Matrix would do against Superman really. Unless that shiny thing in the middle's kryptonite.

That's my point. I don't believe the Matrix is powerful enough to kill supes, but I see where it's power could damage him to a degree. I mean the thing was more than powerful enough to take out Unicron, who as we know was/is extremely powerful. I think anything strong enough to send Unicron into the cold embrace of oblivion could pose as a signifigant threat to Superman, even if it couldn't kill him.

there is one big problem with the matrix power, the matrix does normaly not folow orders, sow it may not aid optimus in the fight.

That's a good point. With the exception of something extreme, I don't see how Superman could cause their "darkest hour".

The power of the Matrix was never defined, it was just used in the cartoon to stop two otherwise unstoppable threats.

It's kind of a shame how it was used in the movie, because the Matrix curing the Hate plague actually makes some kind of sense... it's referred to as the collected wisdom of the Autobot leaders, and giving everyone some of it could make the hateful urges forgotten... in a vague mystic sort of way. As Optimus says, "We are all a little wiser now."

But then there's the whole Unicron thing... I guess it could kind of make sense in that Unicron is the Chaos-bringer (in comic terms, at least) and chaos could be seen as a kind of antithesis to wisdom.

My point being, I don't think it would do anything against Superman, and Prime would get pummeled.

Well ofcourse Supe's gonna win, because he's a lame unstoppable character... only stoppable by Kryptonite...

Lamest comic book character ever... OOH let's have an alien, and he can't be harmed by anything but Kryptonite, can fly, shoot lasers out of his eye's... LAME!!!

Gimme Prime any day :P

well

i dont know

What happens to superman when he gets hit with metal?

does a big peice of metal hurt him?

Can he bend metal, if he punches it?

Ive not any superman, and im guessing that we are talking about a Comic version of him, because all cartoon supermen ive seen are just completely unstopable, prettymuch

but i think if G2 Prime(hero prime form the last page of the last issue of G2) after he uses that gas to make his metal super-dense, he would have a good chance

and my money is on prime either way

I'd still like to know about Supermans hair... It obviously grows and can be cut (as we all remember Mulletman of the 90's, not to mention the Vatman episode of Lois and Clark and Superman IV: The Quest for Milton Keynes both have Lex making clones of Supes from strands of his hair)- But how does he trim it? Is his mair not invulnerable like the rest of him? In that case why doesn't it burn of whenever he flies up through the atmosphere when he goes to visit Bat"I can breath in space"man? What about his toenails?

In any event, Prime could probably win by tuging at his hair real hard.

Now, Prime Vs. The Fembots from Austin Powers?

While I have NO opinion about Superman v Prime, I think the more interesting struggle would be watching Luthor and Megatron bicker about the progress of the fight (and the distribution of the popcorn) from their probably excellent spectator seats.

"Megatron, send Starscream to get more popcorn from ... oh, the south of France this time. And tell him to watch the butter to oil ratio!"

Starscream goans.

"What?" Megatron asked impatiently.

"There's a popcorn vendor just a BLOCK from here!!"

"I didn't know the south of France was that close? Well, don't waste time."

Starscream flies off in a huff. Full afterburners.

"You know, fleshling. You may be a weaking worm, but I LIKE the way you think."
