I'm going to say Beast Wars because of the excellent storytelling with continuity and character development; however, each episode could still be watched on its own without completely throwing you for a loop as to what's going on. Great voice actors to boot.
Next up for me would be the american G1 series. Storytelling with continuity? Hard to piece together if you can at all before Season 3 and even in Season 3 it was still kinda hard. Plot holes? Oh, you betcha. Plenty to go around. Animation and production errors? By the boatload. I think I would describe it, now, as Brendocon described the '86 movie. It's rubbish, but it's really fun rubbish -- for me. The series did have some really decent voice acting though, so that's a plus.

Nowadays I'd have to go with G1 season 3 - back in the days I disliked it, but there were just so many good episodes in season 3 that the change of direction didn't really matter. At least they kept enough of the old characters around to make it worthwhile for fans of season 1 and 2.

Masterforce because it has some interesting and down-to-earth characters in it. Okay, so it borders on the Power Rangers type genre but who can forget when Giga and Mega switched sides at the end and paid for their traitorous decision or when Buster and Hydra decided to ditch their human forms and become bonafide robots.
While I like the origional for its few memorable characters, Beast Wars (at least while they were on Earth) held together better.
I've never understood why some simply hate the show so very much.
It could have been worse ... they could have made Married, with Bots.

Actually ... seeing Rodimus parking his butt on a sofa with his hand under his lower armor would be ... funny. Maybe 30-seconds funny ... but funny.Love and marriage, love and marriage:

Me neither. Heck, I didn't understand why there was so much hate for it before Beast Wars ever came out from what I've read. Still don't. Dalek did sorta explain it but I still don't understand since it doesn't make much sense to me. But then again, generating hate doesn't require logic, unfortunately.

Riiiiiiiiight. Actualy plot developments that were memorable. Uh-huh, sure. We all know you just liked watching 14-year-old Minerva in her swimsuit or Prince Cab's up-the-tunic shots.Originally posted by Zudo Bug

My car and my little bottle of aspirin. My car talks to me and we have all sorts of conversations. It especially likes it when I rev her and she's more open to discussing the great philosophical debates in life; however, the meaning of life is still eluding us since all of the mathematical properties keep cancelling each other out.
That damnable bottle of aspirin is such a pessimist though. Always telling me what my problems are -- reminding me each and everyday as I cut myself with a straight razor. Party pooper.

I should point out that your car has purpose no matter how you are feeling, and so could be justifiably optimistic. The asprin, however, may only feel needed when you feel bad (and everyone wants to feel needed).
My advice: tell the asprin that you have a heart condition.

Does anyone know why some say they come with the movie, while others, that look the same don't?
Would you buy one?

The cheapest place I can find them in the UK is £69.99.
