I thought James Earl Jones Died? Horray if not(always one of my favorite actors)

Alec Baldwin as Hot Rod

and one of the old guys from Grumpy Old Men...Walter something as Gears.
All that was needed was a catalyst and the machines of war are set in motion.

You mean Walter Mattau? He'd make a better Kup, that would've suited him down to the ground.

Speaking of the movie characters:

Shia LaBouf as Hot Rod (Since he's got that annoying brat thing to a T)
Megan Fox as Arcee (Only logical if we have Shia)
Jon Voight as Ultra Magnus
'Lil Bow Wow as Wheelie
Alexie Sayle as Bumblebee (Well, c'mon, Mark Ryan's playing it with a northern accent!)
Jon Stewart (From the Daily Show) as Wreck-Gar
That guy from NYPD Blue (Sipowicz) as Rumble and Frenzy
Howerd Stern as Soundwave
Anthony Head as Shockwave
Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime
Frank Welker as Megatron

I've given this a lot of thought. Granted, some of these actors have already voiced these characters ... but if it ain't broke, why fix it? The roles in parentheses are the characters they've voiced (or acted in live action) that made me think they'd fit.

Autobots
Optimus Prime: Peter Cullen
Bumblebee: Josh Keaton (Peter Parker, "The Spectacular Spider-Man")
Prowl: James Arnold Taylor (Leonardo, "TMNT")
Mirage: Jeff Bennett (Prowl, "Transformers Animated")
Arcee: Susan Blu
Jazz: Phil LaMarr
Grimlock: Lou Ferrigno (Hulk, "The Incredible Hulk" animated series)
Kup: Ed Asner (Uncle Ben, "The Spectacular Spider-Man")
Hot Rod: Steven Blum (Spike Spiegel, "Cowboy Bebop")
Wheelie: Bumper Robinson (Bumblebee, "Transformers Animated")
Springer: Ben Browder (John Crichton, "Farscape")
Elita One: Kate Mulgrew (Titania, "Gargoyles")
Moonracer: Tara Strong (Batgirl, "The New Batman Adventures")
Chromia: Lenore Zann (Rogue, "X-Men")
Ultra Magnus: Robert Stack
Alpha Trion: Ian Ambercrombe (Alfred, "Birds of Prey")
Blaster: Tone Loc (Ebon, "Static Shock")

Decepticons
Megatron: David Kaye
Starscream: Tom Kenny
Soundwave & cassettes: Frank Welker
Shockwave: David Warner (Herbert Landon, "Spider-Man" animated series)
Onslaught: Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor: "Superman")
Swindle & Wildrider: Mark Hamill (Joker, "Batman: The Animated Series")
Motormaster: Henry Rollins (Mad Stan, "Batman Beyond")
Bludgeon: George Takei (Takezo Nakamura, "Heroes")
Galvatron: Leonard Nimoy
Unicron: Keith David (Goliath, "Gargoyles")
Waspinator: Scott McNeil

Humans
Spike (Sam?) Witwicky: Scott Menville (Robin, "Teen Titans")
Verity Carlo: E. G. Daily (Buttercup, "Powerpuff Girls")
Hunter O'Nion: Kirby Morrow (Scott Summers, "X-Men: Evolution")

and much more...

I have to disagree with Wolfbolt's choice of Clancy Brown as Thundercracker. IMO, Brown would be much more fitting for a much more terrifying villain: The Fallen.

If anyone remembers his portrayal as The Kurgan, He is absolutely perfect for The Fallen.

It already spins me out having Kaneda sound like Leonardo, I don't think I can handle Prowl using the same voice as well...

Well, Cam Clarke was the voice of Kaneda in the first English dub of Akira and Leonardo in the 80s TMNT cartoon. James Arnold Taylor was Leo in the recent CGI movie.

Taylor actually wouldn't be so bad as Prowl, come to think of it. Leo was a phenominal prick in the 2007 TMNT movie, and "prick with authority" is pretty much Prowl to the letter.

No love for Scott McNeil and his magic suitcase of great voices?

I'd love to see him reprise Waspinator in movie form!

Well, the specific quality in Taylor's Leonardo performance that made me cast him as Prowl was the frustration that came with the burden of leadership. Sure, Leo had a stick up his shell, but it was there for a reason. Leo was there to lead; he wasn't there to be liked, though he ended up getting carried away with that. There was a lot of internal conflict with Leo, and I'd want to see that in Prowl to convey that he's not just a one-note d-bag.

I have huge love for Scott McNeil. Well, so to speak...

I'd definitely cast him as Waspinator.

What do you think about having Michael Gross play as Triggerhappy (should there be a space?)?
