How Powerful Is Optimus Prime?

What's his power level?
Sufficiently high/distracting that editors tend to shift him (and Megatron) out of the way to give other characters the chance to be in the spotlight?
Which is both a shame and you can't help kind of wish had been taken more to heart given the way that IDW Prime got managed.
