Slow lately?

Post by Notabot » Fri Oct 15, 2010 1:47 pm

Is it just me, or is the archive being really, really slow to load pages for the last couple days? Most other sites are doing fine, but TFArchive and Gmail have been awful this week. Anyone else finding this to be the case?

It seems to be affecting everyone, but what's causing it only the Shadow knows.

yep, it's slowed to a complete crawl for me...and now i'm late for karate...but that's more bad time management on my part.

YES IT IS SLOW!

Post by kurgen » Wed Oct 20, 2010 11:21 pm

Indeed yes I've found it really badly slow for the last week and a bit, and it definitely is just this site. Don't die! This is the best TF site! Awesome reviews of all the comics (which I am working my way through weekly as I read my old UK comics on their 25th anniversaries... it's a hobby, which of course includes a weekly change of TF display to show those shown in each issue... IT'S A HOBBY! And the archive is helping...), and I'm looking to contribute toy reviews very soon. So yeah, please check and sort it if poss, Adminicons... or combine to form... Administrator!!

We know there's a problem and we're working on trying to fix it. We're not sure how long it'll take, but we know it's annoying you guys and we really appreciate your patience as we get things sorted out.

I think the server is having network issues. I've opened a ticket with our provider.

Sorry I didn't notice sooner, I haven't visited the site in the last couple days.

Hey guys, the server was under a syn-flood type ddos attack. I rebooted the server and it seems to have gone away now. I will monitor over the next few days to make sure it doesn't come back.
