Lugnut scowled. "You have a defective memory," he told Grimlock. "You were a guest at Megatron's big fancy party just like everyone else. If you didn't like what he was selling, you wouldn't have come."

He raised one lanky arm, batting the Autobot's punch away before trying to grab his wrist.

"I have five eyes. But don't worry. I know you can't count that high."

"Again with them?" Predacon sighed. "Tarannie, I'm beginning to think you have an unhealthy obsession!"

But he followed Tarantulas nonetheless, since he had nothing better to do. And also, the fact that they would be storming Autobot Headquarters certainly didn't hurt.

Several of the drill tanks were crippled by incoming Autobot fire, but not all. And eventually one of the survivors broke through, it's heavy drill penetrating the ground deeply enough that the crew were able to slide comfortably into the city's subterrainian tunnel system. A mixed squad of car and motorcycle Vehicons followed, swarming into the city's underlevels and disappearing.

The remaining drills continued their work, chewing implacably into the ground.

The Senate

Starscream fired a few more shots, this time taking out the handful of senators who had frozen at their spots in terror as they'd watched their comrades die.

"If you were Soundwave I'm sure you could," he told Skywarp, "but this isn't a Skullgrin movie. Broadcast studios don't usually come equipped for that, so we'd need to bring the gear ourselves. As for what's now..."

Starscream wasn't sure, exactly. He hadn't expected it to be this easy to clean out the Senate building, and to be honest he found himself being a bit disappointed.

Maybe Thundercracker's right. This is a bit beneath us after all.

"Stay where you are," he said at last. "The Autobots have to send backup, right? When they arrive we'll take them out."

"Bah," Tarantulas replied to Predacon as he enjoyed seeing their vehicons make short work of some autotroopers. "I'm not obsessed. Merely passionate," he said.

"Passionate about stomping their mech fluid into the ground," he added as he cackled.

Thundercracker remained at his position. There were a lot of mechs cowering in fear, behind whatever hiding spot they could find. It Suited Thundercracker just fine. This was a task far beneath his status, though seeing everybody hide away in fear did give him a confidence boost. As if he really needed one to begin with.

Thundercracker smirked. Might as well put the fear of Unicron in them while he's at it he thought as he walked towards a random civilian in menacing way.

((OOC: Was waiting for Black to fix a typo, but I'm not sure if he's having net trouble. Terabolt was in her cat form when she attacked Scorponok, so she'd be using teeth or claws, not a blade. Hope you'll be back soon Black!))

Southeastern Borders

Terabolt took the blow from Scorponok's claw, but held on tight with teeth and claws to him. She released when he began to charge up his tail again, in favor of attempting to latch onto the electrical appendage instead. The electricity wouldn't hurt her with her armor, but she could try to keep him from electrocuting anyone else, or maybe shock himself if the current discharged back into him.

Vector Sigma Fortification Complex

"Indeed," Yoketron answered to Orion as the lift came to a stop and they stepped off and proceeded out. "If the Keeper's indications prove to be accurate, this war is the least of our problems. We must learn and excel in this tribulation if we are to have any hope of preparing for what is to come after it. We must return swiftly, and stay alert to any dangers along the way. The road back will be far more challenging than the path we took to here."

Iacon Streets

Dirge would fire a large blast into a building, smiling with satisfaction as something flammable inside went off, blowing out the windows and setting a fire.

"Let's make some noise, Rammers! Bigger the commotion, sooner they'll find us."

Medbay, Nemesis

When the only answer Knock Out received was an uncomfortable silence, he began to get a big nervous again. Best not to push captain Clench too far too soon - he could still wind up in the brig once things calmed down.

"Right, well, like we said, now's not the time for discussing such details. Best to get back preparing to receive wounded. And those two guards can stay in the medbay without worry of me, and Primus knows I could use the assistance once things heat up," Knock Out added, hoping that would smooth things over. As he turned from the com station, he'd see that most of security had left the medbay, aside from one or two still checking things out, and his original guard that he'd manage to get the better of.

"Alright, let's get you fixed up and back to watching my every move," Knock Out told him, motioning him towards the operating table. The vehicon seemed to hesitate, but with a few of the security staff still around, the vehicon seemed to decide he was reasonably safe. It was as he was starting to get to work that the other of the two original guards arrived, carrying an energon ration, and looking confused at the change in activity. Knock Out didn't bother to dignify his late return, instead getting right into work.

Iacon - Streets

Quickswitch stood frozen as Sixshot transformed into car mode and blasted him with concussion blasters. The impact threw his top heavy weight off balance and the feeling of that energy discharge rattled through him, warped through his armor--

There was darkness in that tunnel, and a huge six-changing beast that no Cybertronian before had ever seen. The eyes of the creature--was like looking into the eyes of himself...

Switch! Switch, what are you doing?! Got to transform--transform!

A voice brought him out of it. He transformed quickly before he fell backwards, into beast mode and roared. He charged the other beast, hissing and snapping.

"Let's see you take on these!" the Autobot six changer snapped his jaws.

(OOC: Back. Trying to catch up. PM me if I missed anyone.)

The Senate

Thunderwrath chuckled as he transported Magnus up towards the hole on the building’s roof. “Well, sir, either way, you’re still quite hefty. No problem for me, though, no sir, no problem at all.”
______________________________________

Wing Archer notched an arrow into his bow, and the arrow glowed as energon flowed into it. He look at Tracks and nodded. “Ready.”
______________________________________

“Boo.” Skywarp replied to Starscream. “Mighty inconsiderate of them.” The Seeker sighed, but perked up at being given a new assignment, and smiled. “Can do, boss. I can do that.”

Skywarp reloaded his newfound weapons, and teleported to a far corner of a room, squatting on the edge of a cabinet, a vantage point which, coupled with his dark colouring, would make him temporarily invisible to anyone who walked in through the door into the security room.
______________________________________

Arsenal

Silver Raider nodded. “Yes, sir!” He replied with gusto as he transformed and followed Kup as well.
______________________________________

Southeastern Borders

Scorponok grunted as he successfully knocked the wounded Jazz aside, but Terabolt had latched onto him and the beast mode was far heavier than he had considered. Mass displacement/replacement. Or simply some clever rearranging of body parts to adapt that beast mode.

His optic sensors adjusted quickly from Jazz’s little trick before, and he attempted to launch the lightning bolt at Jazz and Prowl, but Terabolt bit into his tail and threw the blast off-course. The weight of the Temple Knight, combined with her momentum, pulled Scorponok backwards.

The scientist instinctively transformed, and the Anti-Aircraft cannons mounted on his back swiveled straight up (or rather, backwards due to their orientation) towards Terabolt and opened fire.
______________________________________

Prowl, like Jazz, transformed into his hovercar mode. Running over a Vehicon who happened to be in his path, he moved to try and make himself a more difficult target. “Take down the drills!” He shouted into the commlink, unable to do anything about the situation himself now that there’s a veritable sea of Vehicons between him and the forcefield.

Damn it.

Prowl mentally activated another command – one which would activate explosives lined in some of the underlevels’ tunnels – but as he did so he knew that it would not be enough. It’s not a gut feeling – it was fact, one born out of the quick calculations he had made in his head. And it made it worse for him.
At the most he’ll halt them for two minutes, kill four or five squads of Vehicons – meaningless. All his contingencies had fallen apart… all they could count on were the soldiers themselves, and the Decepticons have far more to throw at them.

So Prowl did what he could – small-arms weapon slid out of panels on his hood and unloaded ordnance at Scorponok. It was useless, he knew. Compared to Terabolt and Jazz he was dealing minimal damage. Scorponok’s armor was too thick. He needed a bigger weapon.
______________________________________

Igern’s only reply to Springer’s taunt was an angered roar, which transformed into a pained one as the Triple-changer’s wind-funnel cannon slammed straight onto his chin in full force. The turbulent blast of air tore the right half of his face off, sending teeth, mandibles, and fragments of his shattered optic visor swirling into the air. Igern stumbled backwards, not shooting any lightning bolts at the moment and instead grasped his ruined face with his remaining good hand.
______________________________________

Sentinel Prime Defense Base

When Ironhide arrived at Sentinel’s office, all he would find would merely be the ruined mess which the Prime had left behind, with no indication of where Sentinel had disappeared.

“Him selling something? Me not notice. Me there for free munchies.” Grimlock snorted. “So you actually buy into all the slag Megatron spouts? Him thug in arena. Same as you and me. You think he some big shot because he have big cannon?”

Grimlock snorted as Lugnut’s vice-like claws slammed onto his wrist, and attempted to headbutt Lugnut in the face instead, aiming for the larger Decepticon’s array of optic sensors. “Me Grimlock say you have one eye so you have one eye!”
___________________________________

Sixshot growled in approval as Quickswtich transformed into a beast mode as well. Slightly blockier than his lupine form, but no matter. The Decepticon six-changer transformed speedily into his tank form, the heavy treads screeching in protest at being forced into a momentum unsuited for a tank, but Sixshot did not care.

As Quickswitch lunged at him in beast mode, Sixshot charged up his array of turrets and opened fire.

“Splendid. For something that’s not supposed to be trained, you seem to be able to transform at least! I was worried you’d be a pushover!” Sixshot yelled, his deep voice sounding borderline ecstatic. “Come, come! Show me what else you can do!”

The Senate

Thundercracker was getting bored and started to shoot random things to scare the civilians present on the floor he was on. He was amazed at how little resistance anybody was putting up. "Really if this is what the capital of the Autobots has to offer I don't know what I was afraid of all those years ago to ever step foot here," he said to no one in particular.

_____________________

Magnus let go of the tow line and dropped down near the hole. "Tracks, Wing Archer: Good luck," he said to both as he made his way into the Senate building. "Thunderwrath, cover me," he said to the Elite Guardian as he looked around the area and moved forward.

He scanned the area and eventually heard some shooting. It seemed to come from a few floors down. Magnus held his rifle at the ready and motioned to Thunderwrath that he was going downstairs. "Stay on this floor and look around his floor. See if you can find any government official. If you do, escort them to safety. I'm going to see what's going on down stairs."

With that, Magnus moved down the stairs.

Kup was in high gear as he drove through the streets of Iacon. He was close to the business district now and from the looks if things the district was hit hard. He could only imagine what other parts of Iacon would look like. "Stay close all of you. If we get ambushed I want a tight formation so that we don't end up shooting each other," he said.

In the distance, Kup could see two jets firing randomly at buildings. "I think I see the enemy in the distance. Anybody have an ID on those two?" Kup said as he transformed, hid himself behind a wall and looked around the corner.

"Definitely Decepticons, sir," Shortstop replied. "Let's scrap 'em!"

"We will," Kup replied, "but all in due time. Let's assess the situation first. Don't want to run in blind without knowing the odds," he continued. "Only fools rush in."

"Then Shortstop is the kinda mech you need," Flameblaze said as she transformed.

"Can the jokes," Kup said sternly. "I want you two focused. Silver Raider and I will focus on the enemy. You two cover us when needed and escort civilians out of the area if they're in harm’s way."

Both mechs nodded as Kup looked around. "Silver Raider? Are you ready to engage?"

"That's what I thought," Springer said as Igern didn't offer much of a resistance anymore. Springer walked over to Igern and put his wind funnel cannon to his head. "Any last words before I pull the trigger?" he said to the Destron, intending to pull the trigger and extinguish his spark.

"Pretty sure you left the party happy with your new Decepticon badge," Lugnut reminded Grimlock. "Don't act like you didn't go up to that orbital prison ready to fight for the cause."

Lugnut matched Grimlock's headbutt with one of his own, using the crown of his smooth skull to take the impact from the Autobot's head. Then he staggered back, scowling. "You have a hard head. In more ways than one. Megatron in the arena? He played to the crowd, Grimlock. That's why he got all the big title matches while you and me languished in the mid-card. They loved him. Just like everyone loves him today. Except you. But you know what? You're just jealous that Megatron made something of his life while you're just some dumb grunt wandering from job to job killing for anyone who'll pay you." His face somehow conveyed the impression of a sneer. "You're just like Sunstreaker!"

Immediately after the insult, he lobbed a handful of dirt at the Autobot's face before charging at him with a shoulder tackle.

Dirge's agreement was all the encouragement his wingman needed.

"Woo!" Ramjet flew along at ground level, firing blaster shots into random buildings, until he saw what looked like a shop selling fancy decor. He kicked in that direction, smashed through the window and flew through several racks of fragile off-world urns and vases, grinning as they clattered to the ground and broke to pieces. The store's burglary alarm started to wail, and the seeker shouted out, "That's right! Come an' stop me!"
___________________________________

Several of the tunnels collapsed, burying Vehicons already inside or crushing drill tanks as they fell through ground that would no longer support their weight. But as Prowl had expected, it was only a delaying tactic. For each tank destroyed and avenue cut off, another tank pierced the ground and opened a path for the Decepticon troops to gain entry into the deeper city.

Predacon sighed. "Yes, I gather," he told Tarantulas. "Well at the very least, can we kill everyone else we see on the way to their labs? I've got this charming nano-swarm weapon I've been dying to try out..."

Transforming, the Decepticon dropped to the ground outside the War Academy gates. The building was only lightly guarded, with most of the Autobots' soldiers having been deployed to the borders to fight off the hordes of Vehicons charging the gates. But still, the arrival of two obvious Decepticons sent a dozen or so Autotroopers charging in the scientists' direction. Predacon drew his whiplash cutlass, smiled, then lunged at them and decapitated their leader.

"What do you say, Tarannie? Up for some fun?"

The Senate

While Skywarp did his best to remain hidden in his little nook, Starscream made no such attempts. In fact, the arrogant seeker walked languidly over to the senate speaker's chair, pushed the now-departed speaker's carcass off of it and sat down, slouching contemptuously with his feet up on the dead Autobot's body as he waited for someone -- anyone -- to show up and try to stop him.

Dirge would arrive several moments after Ramjet trashed the store upon 'landing', having taken a more leisurely approach and landing outside before walking through the destroyed front window like he owned the place, ignoring the wailing alarm.

"Never could figure why anyone wasted money on these things," Dirge commented as he picked up one vase. "Deathy always yelled at us if one got broken, but he always made such a show of buying a new one. Guess it shows off how much money you have if you can waste it on something that won't last long."

Dirge would toss the vase over his shoulder, letting it smash into a few more that Ramjet hadn't managed to destroy. He then pointed across the way at a shelf that had still managed to stay standing nearby to Ramjet. "You missed one."

Southeastern Borders

Terabolt had dug her teeth into Scorponok's tail, and her feet into the ground, but she didn't have a good enough grip to keep the Decepticon pinned, the thrust from his engine prying him out of her jaws and pushing her back a short distance. She immediately rebounded back to her feet and trying to leap at him once more.

Senate Roof:

Tracks scowled. "I hope this works", he muttered under his breath. Centering Starscream in his sights, and hoping that the field would hit more than just one lone Decepticon, he fired the black beam gun, sending an expanding cone of blinding, clinging black light into the senate chamber.

Ironhide looked around the office, narrowing his optics. "Great." He turned and headed back to the control room.

"Ready?"

"No. But I'll go anyway." Hot Rod leapt from cover, aiming up at Zero and his cohorts.

Senate Roof

Wind Archer took aim at Starscream and as Tracks opened fire with the black beam gun, let loose with the energy arrow, attempting to pierce the Seeker's center of mass. As soon as the arrow was launched, he pulled another arrow from the quiver and notched it into his bow.

"Yes sir." Thunderwrath replied to Magnus, and began to walk off to search for any survivors. The Decepticons weren't very thorough, though there was the odd corpse here or there...

Warehouse District

Zero growled as his escorts were blown apart by Hot Rod's fire. "Fools! No wonder you were captured by the Autob-" Zero's rant was cut short as a blast slammed onto his underbelly, rupturing something and forcing the former Renegade to transform into his robot mode.

He growled, took aim at Hot Rod and began opening fire with a machinegun.

South-East Border

Scorponok roared in triumph as Terabolt was shook loose, and attempted to swing around to face the Templar. Terabolt would be successful in slamming onto Scorponok's flank as he attempted to pivot around, the force denting the Decepticon's armor. With a growl, Scorponok's tail lashed down, attempting to pierce Terabolt with the sharp dagger on its end.

"Not bad, codex-thumper. Not bad." The Senator growled.

"Show some respect." Prowl cold voice cut in, "We are here to do battle, not to lob weak attempts at religious slurs. Jazz! Take him down!"

Scorponok yelled in pain as Prowl's second shoulder missile slammed onto his transformed head, staggering him and blinding him for the moment.

Igern howled at Springer, and while he still spoke in some kind of ancient ritualistic dialect, the tone of the curse was still evident. He attempted to swipe at the triple changer with the stump that was his arm, but Springer's blast tore through his head, the swirling wind forces ripping apart whatever was left of the head, as well as everything inside it.

Instead of a swipe, all that Igern's corpse managed to do was to stumble and collapse down in front of Springer pathetically like a doll.

"Nah, purple not suit me." Grimlock replied to Lugnut. "Me not fight for cause. Me do favour for Obsidian. Totally different thing. If you lead the mission, me poke your eye out, not kill guards."

It was a lie, of course. Grimlock had enjoyed -- reveled -- in the mayhem during the assault on the orbital prison. He did not get to kill a lot of guards, sure, and there was some soul-searching involved, but Grimlock had to admit, grudgingly and unhappily, that he did indeed enjoy the mission as Lugnut had said.

Damned if he would let the Decepticon know, though.

Grimlock growled as Lugnut headbutted him, staggering backwards as well and massaging his slightly dented forehead. "Him not play to crowd. Him politician, him do same slag that every politician in Iacon do. Him just have big cannon to back him up." Grimlock made a gesture which imitated spitting, except that he did not have a mouth with which to spit. "Love him? Me pretty sure only you love Megatron. Everyone else scared of him. But not me. After me beat you to pulp, me beat him, Megatron, and his ugly bucket helmet too."

"Don't compare me to him." The former gladiator growled as his vision turned red. "Him idiot who only care about finish. But at least you think me, Grimlock, am like someone with a name. Me, Grimlock, think you Lugnut just like all the dead idiots in the arena. You just have more eyes yet somehow more blind and stupid than them."

Grimlock grunted as the dirt slammed onto his face, and grunted as Lugnut charged and tackled him. Caught in a disadvantage, Grimlock attempted to bring both hands down on where he approximated Lugnut's head is, whilst lashing out randomly with his legs.

Shouldn't really have talked that much...

"Oh, but that's a given," Tarantulas replied to Predacon when the latter mentioned killing everyone on site. "With most of their troops deployed elsewhere, taking control of their prestigious Academy is going to be easy. I have no use of Autobots in what could be one of our new... lairs," he added as he giggled as he transformed to robot mode.

"By all means," let's start tearing their doors down," he yelled and followed it up with a cackle as he fired off rounds randomly. Aiming never really was Tarantulas' strong point.

The Senate

With Thunderwrath upstairs making sure nobody would be allowed to attack Magnus from behind, the large soldier descended the stairs and reached the main entrance hall. Looking around the corner he could see Thundercracker intimidating civilians. No particularly important personnel present here, but innocent lives nonetheless. Magnus tried moving closer to Thundercracker, but Magnus forgot that he's heavier now and thus making more sound when he moves.

Instantly, Thundercracker turned around and fired off a round from his shoulder mounted rifle. "Trying to sneak up on me, eh? No such luck! Come on! Show yourself," he said trying to get his opponent to reveal himself.

"Thunderwrath," Magnus said contacting the Elite guardsman on the com. "I've been spotted so be careful. I'll deal with this guy, but he could've informed his friends so expect company."

Magnus got up from behind the desk he was hiding behind and revealed himself. "Decepticon! Surrender now or suffer the consequences!" Magnus said in an intimidating tone.

It had no effect on Thundercracker however. "Really? That's it? I was expecting a better threat from a mech like you. Eat slag, Autobot! Die at the hands of Thundercracker!" he yelled at Magnus as he started firing at the Elite Guardsmen commander.

Magnus dodged the attack, but wasn't able to avoid getting hit. Much to his own surprise though, the hits that did land hardly did any damage.

"What the?! Thundercracker said surprised as he saw that Magnus hardly took any damage. Magnus got back up on his feet and actually smiled. Something he rarely does. In the mean time, Magnus pulled out the hammer that Wheeljack had made for him and charged Thundercracker. Decepticon. Prepare to pay for the consequences of your actions at the hands of Ultra Magnus! He shouted as he took a swing at Thundercracker with the hammer and inadvertently knocked him through the ceiling one floor up!

Magnus was caught by surprise. Never did he intend to hit Thundercracker that hard. Wheeljack and Highbrow really did a number on his upgrade.

One floor up, Thundercracker landed on the floor with a thud and surprisingly, he smiled. "Finally, a challenge," he said though still thought it was smart to inform the others that the Autobots were here. "Starscream. Skywarp. We have visitors. Heavy armed ones too."

Kup looked around. The streets were pretty much cleared except for a mech stuck under the rubble across the street. "Shortstop, Flameblaze. Get that mech to safety. Silver raider, cover me. There are two 'Cons over there in the store. I'm going to throw a flash grenade in there to draw them out and keep the property damage to a minimum," he added as he slowly made his way to the store, remaining out of sight.

Pulling a flash grenade from one of his compartments, he pulled the clip off which had a 5 klik delay and threw it at Dirge and Ramjet. "Hope you like a light show, punks," he said though not too loud.

Springer looked down at the terminated Igern. A job well done he thought to himself though in the end it was futile. He looked around and saw that for every Decepticon they would take out another one seemingly took its place. "Prowl! This battle here is hopeless. We're not pushing them back, they just keep on coming! They'll take the city in no time unless we don't do something more than just trying to stop foot soldiers."

Jazz's shoulder launcher moved into place and fired off a couple of flame rounds at Scorponok. "Time to put you out of our misery, Deceptichump!"

"Easy to say now," Lugnut growled at Grimlock. "After you ran away to hide behind Prowl's skirts. Did he pat you on the head and give you an energon goodie when you came back? Because that's all you are to them, you know. A trained attack turbofox."

He ducked under the Autobot's wild swing, then fell forward (on top of his foe) when Grimlock swept his legs out from under him.

"Pretty sure you're the blind one right now, Grimlock. Me? I can see just fine, and I don't need eyes to do it! Megatron saved me from a fate worse than death at the hands of your friends. He showed me the path, and I owe it to him to follow!" He grabbed at Grimlock's right wrist with his giant, clamp-like-hands, trying to apply an armlock to the other large Transformer.

"But you want to talk about the arena? Fine. I'll show you how I fought there!"

"Missed one?" Ramjet scoffed. "Do you realize how hard it is to smash all this junk and leave just one standing? It's funnier that way. But if you insist..."

He shot the remaining trinket just to make Dirge happy.

Then a small ball flew into the shop through the smashed-out window. Ramjet stared at it for a second before he realized what it was.

"Grenade!" he shouted, activating his foot thrusters and blasting away from it...and directly into the shop's ceiling. He punched through, of course, but not without sending a cascade of debris falling down onto Dirge.

Predacon grinned. "Just try not to blow up any of their labs with that random fire of yours," he told Tarantulas. "We're heading into the heart of the Autobots' government. They've gotta have something to steal!"

A few of the troopers dropped due to Tarantulas's fire, and Predacon ran another through with his blade before the rest began to retreat into the entrance.

"You want to be literal about tearing those doors down," Predacon asked his fellow scientist, "or should we rush them before they get them closed?"

(OOC: Okay, we'll go with that. I don't think it really works with the layout of the building, but that's not a big deal. Starscream can disgrace himself this way too. :) )

Starscream shrieked as he was hit with a strange blast of darkness that seemed to take his sight away. He clawed at his optics, falling out of the speaker's throne and landing on the floor. He rolled into several rows of chairs, knocking them over and not even noticing the arrow that hit the chair where he'd been sitting a moment before.

Trying to regain his composure, Starscream took a moment to activate his cloaking device before scrambling away from the place he'd fallen.

Blind me, will you? Fine, but you can't see me either! His scientist's mind was already hard at work, analyzing the spectra of the beam that had hit him. A black-beam gun, he thought to himself approvingly. Didn't realize they'd actually managed to make those. Should wear off on a few minutes...

"Yes, I've noticed," he replied snarkily to Thundercracker when the other seeker called him. "Please do your best not to let them offline you. I don't want to carry your body back to the Nemesis when we're done. Skywarp, there's at least one Autobot on the roof taking potshots at me through the skylight. Go up there and kill him. Then we'll go help Thundercracker with his problem."

(OOC: What Heinrad said... though the Seekers did move around the building after entering through the hole in the roof, didn't they?)

"Roger that, sir. I'll keep an eye out." Thunderwrath replied to Ultra Magnus, no doubts that the Elite Guard commander would take down whoever he was fighting.

"Hello." Thunderwrath said, one optic raised as Thundercracker was sent flying up into the floor he was in. He aimed his rifle at the Seeker. "Don't move, flyboy! Last warning!"

Silver Raider nodded, keeping an optic out for any backup the two Decepticons looting the store might have.

"I agree with your assessment." Prowl replied to Springer. "So we take on the commanders! I can't fly, but you can -- there. Can you see the old-fashioned helicopter? Above the ramparts there, directing the Vehicons. That is Obsidian, their commander. Take him out."

It was hollow, of course. Taking Obsidian out would simply mean that the Vehicons would move in less of a planned strategem (Prowl doubted Obsidian was the only strategist in Decepticon employ) and more of an angry horde washing over everything.

But one step at a time... there's only so much they can do.

Vehicons still rushed past them. Prowl can't waste ammunition -- killing one or two additional soldiers here won't do them any good, as much as he wanted to.

He sighed and launched several more acid pellets at Scorponok in conjunction with Jazz's flame rounds, hoping to feed them.

Scorponok roared, his upper torso wreathed in fire. His paint melted and warped, and some parts of his armour began to buckle. Scorponok transformed, and in the process the sliding parts cut off the air supply to the flames, but that didn't stop all of the fire on his frame.

"Terabolt, take out the pistons on his knees! Cripple him!" Prowl yelled as he began to move towards Scorponok, taking out any Vehicons attempting to assist their creator with precise headshots.

Grimlock grunted as Lugnut slammed down on top of him. Only his own strength pushing against the Decepticon prevented him from being crushed into a pulp.

"Hmm. You talk a lot, but you different how? Megatron don't even see you as pet. You less than trained turbofox. You like drone. You follow false god with bucket head." Grimlock replied to Lugnut, resisting the urge to just roar incomprehensibly at the Decepticon.

Grimlock growled as he attempted to twist away from Lugnut's arm-lock. "Ah, arena. Seldom me fight thugs bigger than me."

His missile launcher and submachine gun were somewhere in the rubble, as was his energon sword, but he had a third weapon -- the stunner laser rifle. Shifting his weight to his left arm, he pulled the rifle from his hip and opened fire at Lugnut's stomach, hoping to at least to get the larger Decepticon off of him.

"Okay, that wasn't expected..." Silver Raider muttered as Ramjet punched through the ceiling. "That's gotta do a number on his exostructure. Engaging now, sir." He told Kup before opening fire at the white Seeker.

"Ah, damn. I missed." Wind Archer growled as he launched a second arrow at the blinded Starscream, though with the darkness he doubted he'll hit anything important.

Skywarp clapped his hands together when Starscream's orders came in. "Right away, boss man!"

The Seeker teleported once, twice, and three times to get from the security office, and materialized on the roof a fair distance away from Wind Archer and Tracks. Skywarp then began to dash towards the two Autobots. "Two of them up here, boss!" Skywarp yelled as he began to move towards them, teleporting in short bursts to cover the distance, whilst opening fire at the two Autobots.

"Look forward, but keep an eye behind you," Yoketron told Orion, transforming into vehicle mode andm oving out.

Terabolt had dug in with teeth and claw again on Scorponok's armor, but when the tail came at her she released her bite, shifting her position to allow the tail to scrape her side instead of a more vital spot. The blade dug a deep crevice into her armor, but the dense material stood up to the blow.

In response she would bite at the tail, but gave up quickly on that when Prowl yelled out about going for his knees. Terabolt immediately moved to wrap her paws around Scorponok's nearest leg, intending to bearhug it like a typical feline before digging in with her jaws and use her weight to hamper him.

Dirge wasn't so quick to get out of the way of the flash grenade, but he did put his arms up to shield himself, blinded by the light it created. He did have enough sense though to get out of the way when he heard Ramjet taking off - he was still hit by some of the smaller debris, but at least he wasn't buried. Dirge would continue to stagger briefly for a few moments, disoriented by the flash grenade.

"Blasted Autobots! Let's tear them apart for that cheep trick!" He yelled to Ramjet, getting his bearings again.

The beast slammed into Sixshot and was simultaneously forced backwards by the explosion of turret fire. It went tumbling end and side over side with a confused, shocked howl.

Black smoke billowed up from the impacts where the Decepticon had dented and scorched his armor.

"Yrrrrr..." the beast moaned as it lay twitching on its side.

"At least everyone knows where I stand," Lugnut told Grimlock. "You? You'll probably be a Decepticon again by next week!"

Grimlock's laser fire hit the big Decepticon in the gut, backing him off but not piercing the freshly-repaired armour that Knock-Out had tended to so expertly.

"Except we won't take you back, so where does that leave you? A nobody working with the losing side, surrounded by people who hate him!"

Lugnut roared, then charged forward with his right arm extended, trying to drop Grimlock right back to the ground with a powerful clothesline.

Ramjet groaned as the Autobots shot his exposed legs, which were still dangling out of the hold he'd carved in the ceiling.

"Ow! Yeah, I'll get right on that, Dirge."

The seeker struggled, eventually pulling the rest of his body up into the building's cramped attic. A few strikes from his fists were enough to punch a hole through the building's roof. Jumping out, he landed on the street and looked around for the Autobots, hoping he'd come out behind them instead of right in their line of fire.

"Kill them, Skywarp!" Starscream told the other seeker. "A mere two Autobots are no threat to a Decepticon like you!"

He didn't actually believe that, but if the other jet kept the Autobots busy until his sight (still just a dark blur) recovered they could probably win this.

Another arrow hit the ground, uncomfortably close this time, but the cloaked Decepticon didn't dare move in the fear that he'd knock over a chair and reveal his exact location.

Scorponok roared as he swung around wildly with his claws in an attempt to hit Terabolt, while anti-aircraft cannons on his shoulders opened fire randomly in an attempt to suppress the Autobots assaulting him.

Terabolt slammed into his leg just then, though, and the flame-wreathed Decepticon yelled in pain as her jaws and claws bit into the pistons in the Decepticon's leg, tearing into hydraulics and armor and severing them.

The Decepticon, half-blinded by flames, found a target and swung his massive, powerful claw towards the massive beast attached to his leg.

Not even pausing, Sixshot pivoted and launched himself into the air with his transformation, transforming in the air into his cannon mode. Charging up a shot, he took aim at the fallen Quickswitch, charged up a shot and fired at the downed Autobot.

"COME!" Sixshot roared. "Come, six-changer! You're not even good for a warm up like this!"

"You not hear what I said? Purple clash with me." Grimlock snapped at Lugnut. He lifted his finger off the trigger of the weapon aimed at Lugnut's gut. "At least me Grimlock not some scum toadie, me Grimlock badass hired mercenary!"

As Lugnut charged towards him with his arm stretched, Grimlock charged forwards and dropped to his knees, throwing his head back and sliding just under Lugnut's arm. As he ended up behind Lugnut, Grimlock shakily got to his feet, shook his head once, and bellowed out a loud, booming roar as he aimed his weapon at Lugnut and opened fire.
