This figure has potential.... as a shelfwarmer. I've never seen a Smokescreen fly off shelves since Alternators. I love his box art. It's full of less dull surprise.

Dinobot is soon, I can feel it.

Well, it depends on what you term shelf-warmer. If you're from my area everything is basically a shelf-warmer because we have tons of stock for all lines. There's only a few TFs around me that are gone most of the time (Universe Sunstreaker, I'm looking at you...).

I still think he looks good; he's still Smokescreen (which I don't have one), and a little of a rainbow-esque thing going on, but I think the colors might attract some kids that otherwise wouldn't pick him up (or parents picking them up thinking their kids will like colorful toys).

PS - I'm always a big fan of mistransformations. I always get a good chuckle out of those...

Sweet! I dont give a flying rats ass about this "dinobot" thing, but smokescreen looks awesome! Im not a huge fan of the mold though but the colors still look great. Heres hoping the actual toy will look as good as these enhanced photos.

Yep, obvious shelf-warmer. But I'm picking him up for the sake of the character (altohugh I might regret it...). Dinobot, on the other hand~:)

I think Smokescreen might not be too much of a shelf warmer, but he's definitely not gonna be flying off the shelves, that's for sure. Dunno if i really want Dinobot, though, never really been into BW/BM/MW.

I have only one problem with his colors, and that's the yellow. If it was blue or red there, I bet it wouldn't look as gaudy. (Mind you, it looks good in vehicle mode, but terrible in robot)

I don't like how Hasbro's packaging Dinobot as a Predacon/Decepticon. I know he was a Predacon a few times, but packaging him as such makes him look like "The Bad Guy". I'm hoping this gets changed in the future, but I probably shouldn't hold my breath.

And the things TF fans will complain about reach a new low. "I know he was a Predacon at one point, but putting it on the cardback I'll thriow away is a step too far".

Guess it's just emotional attachment to Dinobot, i s'pose.

Mind, MISB collectors will probably hate this. And there's lower complaints than this.

Oddly, the Henkei version is announced as a Cybertron...

Not that odd, surely - bad guys still sell badly in Japan, so if Takara have the chance to swap his faction over (which they do, what with Dinobot batting for both sides) they'd probably do that.

I don't really care which side Dinobot is listed under, he will be mine!
Got a complaint?

Hmmm . . . not a huge fan of the yellow helmet, but the mold's pretty decent. I wasn't too keen originally, but the clearer photos look worlds better.

I'll pick him up and hope that they also produce a new Rattrap (really. It would be a crime not to release Dinobot's foil). Then I can display ol' Chopperface and the vermin together. ;)
