Toy snuff - the gold plastic syndrome

Post by Clay » Wed Mar 03, 2010 4:48 am

This needs its own thread.

My first thought as soon as I turned the camera off was, "HOLE EEE SHIT that worked well." Fun fact!

When I win the lottery, my plan is to buy a Fort Max and film myself destroying the thing. Post the video at Big Board, sit back and watchn the fanboys spasm.

You don't have to destroy it. Just photograph a child playing with it. Should provide the same result.

That reminds me to re-endorse MP Grimlock. He and Predaking survived a play day with my nephew on Friday and are no worse for wear.

I felt a great disturbance in the force. It was if a transformer suddenly cried out in terror, and was suddenly silenced.
"Some people are like slinkies, not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs."

Movies I've seen recently:
Red
Johnny Got His Gun
A Clockwork Orange
Fight Club
Toy Story 3
Zombieland
Tenacious D The Pick of destiny
Watchmen

Largely depends on the child I'd wager. My stepson seemed to get some sort of enjoyment out of purposely destroying his Transformers toys, and well, just about any other toy to be honest.

My daughter however seems to take much better care of her stuff already, at age 3 and 1/2 she has yet to destroy one of her toys, Transformers included. Much like myself, I was extremely anal retentive about my toys as a child, and guarded them from harm on the playground.

DIE RANDY

Nice to see that demonstrated so clearly- I was wondering just what the difference was, exactly.

F'n fantastic!

My son loves TFs on and off, but when give him different ones, he always decapitates them or breaks an arm or leg off as if the bot was slaughtered in battle.

When I ask him why he likes to play like that, he just smiles and says "I dunno".

That is what someone should make...the Destructoids where one set would have an infrared laser tag gimmick and the other would be a spring loaded mechanism on the chest that would make the toy implode. And it should be made out of gold plastic!

Randy? I haven't wanted a TF based entirely on its name so much since I discovered Breastforce

My video is internet-famous now!

That video has been getting more and more hits (now around 8000!), and I couldn't figure out why. It turns out the video has its own thread at TFW and it's on the wiki.

Now, how do I exploit this newfound breadth of influence for monetary gain?
