Which Uni do you attend?

Post by Mirage »

Well fellow archivers it appears as though the Ravishing One has been absent from posting for a while due to one thing or another, not one to show neglect to his fellow posters, the 'Rage has returned.

Well, over the last couple of weeks a lot of my friends have gone off to various Uni's throughout the UK so just out of interest and being nosey I wondered which Uni you all go to, if any, or went to.

Personally I didn't go, not because I couldn't but because I'd had it with the educational system and wanted to have money.

I have friends in Leeds, Manchester, Oxford, Newcastle and a few others, so where are ya?

I go to the high class establishment of the University of Glamorgan.

However I am desperatly attempting to get a scholarship to do a year in an American university (must return to that fine country with its fine, fine, cosmetically improoved women). Anyone know any uni's in warm states looking for a good soccer player (defender) to fund through uni ;)

I went to Jacksonville University in lovely Jacksonville, Florida. Not much to say, only about 2,500 students there. They did have a nationally-ranked soccer team until it got busted for illegal recruting... :D

What were ye doing in Swansea then Quicky? I thought you went to uni there...

Anyway, I'm doing Computer Science in Cardiff, and loving it. Life is grand, my house has a bar, and well... My house has a bar. Brilliant.

I've not decided what to do in the future, with regards to an MSc or a PhD or whatever.

Gee let me think?

Pros of USA?
Fit women
Better Campus's
Easier exams (I mean multiple choice come on)
Better Weather

Pros of UK
Get to be near me (thats directed at any women considering it ;) )

Oh and Prowl?, seriously stay away from Scotland, In the words of one of Britains Kings - "The trouble with Scotland is its full of Scots"[/Joke]

Also whilst your at it some of the Uni's in Wales should be avoided too *cough*Glamorgan, Aber, Swansea (well all bar Cardiff)*cough*.

You meant for that to be listed as a Con, right?

WlNTERMUTE, maybe you could do an exchange with Compy? Hmm? Please? I feel ill being within 1000 miles of him.

Honestly, you are probably better off in the US, unless you like crap weather and beer-swigging, loud-mouth idiots (no, offence, Sky, Anglo, Getaway, Compy... ;)). I prefer the British lifestyle of being almost constantly drunk to what I experienced in the US, I just don't like the stereotypical British twatty men who go out to a trancey/house club on a Saturday night, get pissed out of their minds, grope all the girls and get in as many fights as they can before being knocked out/arrested. And there are a lot of those guys about, especially in studenty areas. That's why I spend as much time out of this country as possible. :D

Sorry, went on a bit of a rant there, in response to the original question: I don't go to Uni, but I have one friend at Winchester and the rest are at Portsmouth.
