And can somebody PLEASE tell what those scenes are that were in the extended version, for those of us who don't have a DVD player (like me)? I really want to know now...
A lot of small details that really add up... For instance, there's a scene that actually shows the ring betraying Isildur and leaving his hand - which leads to the arrow-strewn body floating in the river. Lothlorien the Golden Wood actually looks golden... Main scenes? Bilbo writing his journal and explaining the nature of Hobbits. And of course Galadriel's departing gifts...
The only thing I wished Peter Jackson added to the film was the constant bickering between Legolas and Gimli. I mean I know he touched upon the general animosity between dwarves and elves, but I missed seeing their friendship develop.
Anyway I can't wait till the US release on Dec. 18th. i have my free ticket ready and waiting....

There's a two-tape VHS version of the extended version that's available. It also comes with a documentery on the film. I don't know if it's available in Holland though.

I, too, am waiting...
No, I heard Shelob wasn't gonna be in TTT, but in RotK. And...
Well, what did you expect, a perfect retelling of the book. The Ghost of Starscream and I love the trilogy. J.R.R. Tolkien rules. Do any of you dudes personally know Orli? He's a hottie... how about you dudes out there? You hot?;) I know I am!

Uh, Runningbee, I'm kinda NOT hot. I have freckles all over my face for crying out loud!!! Who could think that I was hot?
Um, to the point, WHY DID PETER JACKSON HAVE TO DRAG THE ELVES INTO A SITUATION WHERE THEY WEREN'T NEEDED? Helm's Deep is a human/Uruk-hai/Rohirrim (Not "Rohans") battle...
The Elves weren't in da book. Just Legolas. And "Atashanay," she wishes...
And Arwen ain't allowed to be in the movie!!!!!! She has single-handedly disgraced the whole trilogy.
*Calls in The Disgrace*
It's your turn, Disgracey...
The Elves fightin' in Helm's Deep aren't in the book, henceforth, they shouldn't be in da movie. Only Legolas (and family) should.
Rangers Rule. That is all
