Pippen: You need people of intelligence on this sort of mission....quest....thing.
Merry: Well, that rules you out, Pip.
Merry: It's working!
Pippen: I know it's working! Run!
(That's when they're being chased by the Uruk-Hai)
Aragon: Let's hunt some orc.
(I don't know about anyone else, but that line sounds so badass. )

Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?
Merry: I wouldn't count on it.

And then Pippen gets hit in the head with a fruit!
And here's some questions I found in the paper that will get people thinking.
Question #1: What's the deal with Aragon? Here's a guy who sleeps under trees, never bathes, and yet has two of the hottest babes in the mostly-male population of Milddle Earth both warm for his form.
Question #2: How do the Middle Earthers tell all those bearded blond guys apart? There's Faramir, captain of Gondor, and there's Eomer, exiled prince of Rohan. Do Middle Earth groupies keep coming up to Faramir and asking him of Eomer's autograph?
Question #3: The fortress at Helm's Deep is a couple of big walls built againt a cliff. Where do the occupants go to...freshen up, so to speak?
Question #4: Pippen spends most of "Fellowship" nearly getting the whole fellowship killed with his clumsiness. So why do Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas spend "Two Towers" trying to rescue him from the Uruk-Hai?
Question #5: The Ents are basically trees with legs. Are there female Ents? And if so, how do they make little Ents? Is it a kind of an acorn thing?
Two days left!

The "women" Ents are called Entwives, but the Ents have no idea where they are. And I dunno 'bout the acorn thing...

Ack! I've got my gift exchange with my friends that can ONLY be done on Wednesday and my department's Christmas party on Thursday, so I have to wait until Friday before I can see it. I may have to call in sick to work on Wednesday...
I guess I'm officially going to stop reading all The Two Towers related threads from this point forward, since I've not read the book...

Someone get the basement ready...
Well, I haven't read the books, either. I tried to read Fellowship, but I just couldn't get into it.

I have it on good authority that I'm getting the cool set with the trilogy and The Hobbit, to boot. One's literary collection would be incomplete without them...

Well, I haven't been home lately, but it's always good to have a little sister who does the dirty work for you.
Nice.
My parents went out and bought whatever they thought I might like...which makes he hope that I get lots of cash, so I can get what I really want.
Anyways...who's going to see the movie on opening day?

what about The Silmarillion, IMHO one of the finest pieces of literature creation sort of thing around - well the whole history of middle Earth is amazing and the more times you read it the better it gets as you remember more - the fight between Morgoth and Fingolfin, Beren... makes the ring quest seem like a stroll in the park

I'm lucky my parents figured out which ones to get in the first place. I'll have to look for that once I've read the others. Should I read The Hobbit first, since it is a prequel of sorts? Or save it until after the trilogy?

I have the Hobbit and the trilogy, but I tried reading the Hobbit. IT WAS BORING! And no offense to you guys out dere. I just didn't get interested in it. Now, the cartoon version of The Hobbit was pretty cool.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is entirely good. It was amazing. My mom and oldest brother read em. They liked it.
Now, I will admit, The Two Towers was better than the Fellowship of the Ring. But in the Fellowship they were all together. You know, Boromir wasn't dead. And the Return of the King should be better than the Two Towers, as I hear.
Oh, and I want a T-shirt that says:
I Survived Helm's Deep
or:
I Survived Hell's Deep
As I believe the cast started callin' it...

Maki, read The Hobbit first, even though its not as good as LotR it still makes it easier to under stand things. Plus its only like ten pages long (slight exageration, but its nothing compared to the length of LotR ).
Compy, i've got The Silmarillion too, haven't read it yet. I've been told its like reading the bible - with headings like 'Of Thingol and Melian' and 'Of Feanor and the Unchaining of Melkor' - hard to get into to. But if you think its worth reading i'll give it a go.
BAH! I have to wait until the 26th for it to start showing here.
