My Last Serenade - Killswitch Engage

Post by Thundercracker »

This revelation is the death of ignorance
Tangled in a state of suffocation
Slave to self righteousness
Damnation is on your lips

From sorrow to serenity, the truth is absolution,
From sorrow to serenity, its on your head

This is my last serenade
I feel you as you fall away
This is my last serenade
From yourself you can't run away

It's your choice, Point the finger
But it's on your head
Your destination is a choice within yourself
Will you rise or become a slave
To self righteousness
Open up your heart and gaze within

This is my last serenade
I feel you as you fall away
This is my last serenade
From yourself you can't run away

Trapt-These Walls

Post by Sades »

[I wonder how long it took for them to come up with a band name... Have you ever heard this CD? Har. :o]

"Something missing
Left behind
Search in circles every time I try
I've been here before, yeah
I've seen you before

I can't escape winding down these halls,
Hard to find a place where there are no walls
And no lines begging me to cross
Only straight ahead better move along

Like clockwork
I commit the crime
I pretend to be everything they like
I've been here before, yeah
I've seen you before

I can't escape winding down these halls,
Hard to find a place where there are no walls
And no lines begging me to cross
Only straight ahead better move along

And I trade everything for this...
And I trade everything for this
Why do I read the writing on the wall?
Why do I read the writing on the wall?

I won't lose my place in line
I've been here too long and I've spent too much time
I won't lose my place in line
I've been here too long and I've spent too much time

Something missing
Left behind
Search in circles every time I try
I've been here before, yeah
I've seen you before

I can't escape winding down these halls,
Hard to find a place where there are no walls
And no lines begging me to cross
Only straight ahead better move along

And I trade everything for this...
And I trade everything for this
Why do I read the writing on the wall?
Why do I read the writing on the wall?
Why do I read the writing on the wall?
Why do I read the writing on the wall?"

Next Thursday, you're invited to watch Rising Tide's live coverage of a gala tribute in salute to Ronald Reagan. Host Haley Barbour joins special guest Lady Margaret Thatcher in celebrating the former President's 83rd birthday. Tickets are a thousand dollars a plate, but you can see the event free on GOP TV.

Images of perfection
Sun-tan and napalm
Grenada, Haiti, Poland, Nicaragua
Who shall we choose for our morality?
I'm thinking right now of Hollywood tragedy
Big Mac, smack, Phoenix R, please smile, y'all
Cuba, Mexico can't cauterise our discipline
Your idols speak so much of the abyss
Yet your morals only run as deep as the surface

Cool, groovy, morning, fine
If white
Tipper Gore was a friend of mine
America
I love a free country
Told the truth
The Stars and Stripes and an apple for mommy
For one day

Conservatives say
There ain't no black in the Union Jack
Democrats say
There ain't enough white in the Stars and Stripes

Compton, Harlem, a pimp ****ed a priest
The white man has just found a new moral saviour
Vital stats? How white was their skin?
Unimportant, just another inner-city drive-by thing
Morning, fine, serve your first coffee of the day
Real privilege, it will take your problems away
Number one, the best, no excuse from me
I am here to serve the moral majority

Cool, groovy, morning, fine
If white
Tipper Gore was a friend of mine
America
I love a free country
Told the truth
The Stars and Stripes and an apple for mommy
For one day

Zapruder
The first to masturbate
The world's first taste
Of crucified grace
And we say
There's not enough black in the Union Jack
And we say
There's too much white in the Stars and Stripes

**** the Brady Bill
**** the Brady Bill
If God made man, they say
Sam Colt made man equal

"Straight to Hell"

If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British jig and reel?
Speaking King's English in quotation
As railhead towns feel the steel mills rust water froze
In the generation
Clear as winter ice
This is your paradise

There ain't no need for ya
Go straight to hell boys

Y'wanna join in a chorus
Of the Amerasian blues?
When it's Christmas out in Ho Chi Minh City
Kiddie say papa papa papa papa-san take me home
See me got photo photo
Photograph of you
Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Of you and Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Lemme tell ya 'bout your blood bamboo kid.
It ain't Coca-Cola it's rice.

Straight to hell
Oh Papa-san
Please take me home
Oh Papa-san
Everybody they wanna go home
So Mamma-san says

You wanna play mind-crazed banjo
On the druggy-drag ragtime U.S.A.?
In Parkland International
Hah! Junkiedom U.S.A.
Where procaine proves the purest rock man groove
and rat poison
The volatile Molatov says-

Go straight to hell

Can you really cough it up loud and strong
The immigrants
They wanna sing all night long
It could be anywhere
Most likely could be any frontier
Any hemisphere
No man's land and there ain't no asylum here
King Solomon he never lived round here

Go straight to hell boys
and if you cut your self you wil think you are happy

come as you are as you were as i want you to be come doused in mud soaked in bleach come as a friend as a known enemy

if u want crazy lyrics check this out when I used to be an rap MC, my name was Heroin, but I've moved o nfrom hip-hop but check it out its called Sellouts

It's me the H-E-R-Solo-I-N/
Always mic lightin', stylin' & sightin' for more verbal fightin/
Always applyin' for more findin' & rydin' to continue this microhpone snipin'/
Tighten my rhythmic dividin' for more sorrow & cryin'/
Rip a bitch and **** dyin' with 2 quarters for even tryin'/
No triflin my favorite subject is after the math no lyin'/
Spit **** violenty, highly maniaclly, lively rippin' **** excitingly/
Most MC's are richeously & likely to spit they flows identically/
Share the same identity, exchange the same verbal riflery psychically/
And it's frighteningly that they silently steal **** of unreleased pivacy/
When they are part of that rivalry/
Known as the bootleggin' control dynasty/
Don't judge my style like I'm some sucker artist/
Actin' like I'm clean like the other varmits/
Bitch I'm dirty like J-Lo's under garments/
Talk **** and I might even **** yer carcus/
Take a gat no a mic & mark yer targets/
I close down ya shop & park yer markets/
I ryde hoe's wit drop'd top's in model 69iner's/
Equipped wit semi-sniper's & many minor's/
No support for any mutha****in' empty ryders/

CHORUS:
From Hip-Hop to Flip-Flop, u all know how to flip-flop hip-hop/
From Hip-Hop to Flip-Flop, u all know how to flip-flop hip-hop/
Once upon a time it was all about mics/
Now we live in an era full of dikes/
Magazine's, hoe's, shoe's I call it the hellhouse/
But the participants are known as the sellouts/

MC's got tossed up, crossed up n mutha****in' bossed up/
Sell ya soul to Benzino and get sauced up/
A few Big Tyme pretty boys got flossed up, glossed up & raised there cost up/
No longer dirty ya just too god damn washed up/
Lucky for me I was dodged up/
I eat yo gold MTV pop-corn nomination for ya constant bull**** coversation/
Plus MC u only carry a female population wit ya lyrical abomination/
Make sum accodmidation, meet the confrontation & bow down to my domination/
Or else I will disconenct every hip-pop star constellation/
U wanna talk on my flows then I'll flow louder/
Keep talkin' for anotha hour & I get gun powder/
Rinse u off in a blood shower wit my magnum shouter u coward/
Scrath dont spit or I'll scratch more than ya car's shifter kits/
I might even mutha****in' scratch yo mother's cliterus/
I'm no rip off of any old skool italian/
Wearin' a flashy platinum medallion/
So many scarfaces & capones that they got i.d. number's/
But they nuthin' more but fake gangsta muther****er's/

U rapper's make preverted noises/
Constant commercial alerted choices/
Wit dead bootlegged inserted voices/
Mutha****az can't be a original/
THey gotta be dat lyrical criminal/
So identical to their ritual visual/
Act what ya not and always flashin, studio blastin & dancin'/
U could say ya'll a hip-hop Michael Jackson wit no real lyrical passion/
Ya only rap about car's, ya rap shoe's, rap clothes & chick's/
Rap ya lips around sum dicks before I twist da clips in ya click's tit's/
Take a few hollow tips & blood out u crips unless u can do back flips/
This is my nation where I decide the isolation/
And my citation of lyrical annihilation & mutha****in' dehydration/
Leaves me to nothing more but analyzation/
Since most of u MC's ****ed up more than Suge Knight's parole violation/

[La the Darkman]
Uh uh, for the niggas in black Vigors
behind the wheel drinkin liquors
Everybody wanna shine
For the niggas rockin Tims, **** cars and rims
Yo, everybody wanna shine

Yo, my dimensions, possessed, lucci, bitches, cess
Lessons, computers, whips, and bulletproof vests
I can't be done, me and Screwface one on one
I drink wit bums in the slums where I shoot my guns
Enforce ones, up north in the Ac, throw a strap
I got niggas down south, holdin nines in Cadillacs
Lettin trees blow, for niggas sniff snow inside the disco
I hold a big pistol, to crack your brain crystal
Cream like Joe Pisco', I **** your bitch yo
Right through her piss hole
Long dick like a missle
Split the black dutch, while the bracelet on my wrist glow
Cough if I spit mo', sold my Lex, cop the Benzo
My niggas come outta Sing-Seng buff like Lou Ferrigno
The rhyme sayer, quicker Ruger nine sprayer
Rich lifestyle like a young NBA player
And I'm tied to the mob like that gun, called Tommy
Shoot through your Armani, shoot at Guiliani
Shoot at Illuminati, **** everbody, it's the Darkman
(understand that right there)

Chorus
For the niggas in black Vigors, behind the wheel drinkin liquors
Everbody wanna shine
For the niggas is rockin Tims, **** cars and rims
Yo, everybody wanna shine
For the niggas that lock downed for bustin caps wit four pounds
Everybody wanna shine
For the niggas in Lexus Cruisers wit cocked back Rugers
Yo, everybody wanna shine

[La the Darkman]
Yo, you wanna be me
Sometimes I'm on the block, sometimes I'm on the TV
My crew's greedy, like Boom Boom Mancini
La's song buy weedy, Swahili, ?Sadeeky?
Professional, hold my toast by my testicals
I used to peddle, but three times two equal the devil
Blinded by the ice, and the savage way of life
To no vale, niggas get money in small scales
Start smokin, like they don't know crack kills
A freak nigga, got turned down by a female
Didn't know he sucked death, when he just inhale
I rap life, cocaine, niggas wit no brain
Sellin crack for fifteen years wit no game
That's a damn shame, check the result of bein broke
Havin no whip, no lab, no money for smoke
He stressed out, really not knowin what life's about
Jewels, jewels, jewels, jewels

Chorus

[La the Darkman]
Yo, yo, dunn I'm felt
Gun in my waist, tight belt
New York streets hot, the bottom of my Wallees melt
I need wealth, puffin my lah by myself
Blessed, wit food clothes and health
And big whips, shorties say I got a big dick
My first video, I rock twenty outfits
The Benz 6, got me wanna flip ten bricks
VCR headrest watchin Scarface flicks
I politic, wit ex cons, old cats, drug dons
Niggas that's known to take a arm for a arm
I move calm as a lion of Juddah, black Garbudda
Silent as a basehead, suckin on his hooter
Cuz Cash Rules, that's why I study new jewels
And keep tools, to create blood pools
For new crews, rappers, on my territory
I cock back the fifth, and make em his-tory
Remember him, the kid wit the big Jesus em-blem
Threw shells from the toast, had his bones tremblin
Nigga, I'm the cat y'all be talkin about dunn

Chorus

Cuz I shine nigga, shine on nigga (what)
Straight shine nigga, nawmean, word up
The sun gon burn out (stay shinin, and stay spicy)
I'mma shine till the sun burn out
Straight up, word, the embassy, my family
The embassy, my family, yeah

I would say I'm sorry
If I thought that it would change your mind
But I know that this time
I have said too much
Been too unkind

I try to laugh about it
Cover it all up with lies
I try and laugh about it
Hiding the tears in my eyes
Because boys don't cry
Boys don't cry

I would break down at your feet
And beg forgiveness
Plead with you
But I know that it's too late
And now there's nothing I can do

So I try to laugh about it
Cover it all up with lies
I try to laugh about it
Hiding the tears in my eyes
Because boys don't cry

I would tell you
That I loved you
If I thought that you would stay
But I know that it's no use
That you've already
Gone away

Misjudged your limit
Pushed you too far
Took you for granted
I thought that you needed me more

Now I would do most anything
To get you back by my side
But I just keep on laughing
Hiding the tears in my eyes
Because boys don't cry
Boys don't cry
Boys don't cry

Most of the time
I'm clear focused all around
Most of the time
I can keep both feet on the ground
I can follow the path
I can read the sign
Stay right with it when the road unwinds
I can handle whatever
I stumble upon
I don't even notice she's gone
Most of the time.

Most of the time it's well understood
Most of the time I wouldn't change it if I could
I can make it all match up
I can hold my own
I can deal with the situation right down to the bone
I can survive and I can endure
And I don't even think about her
Most of the time.

Most of the time my head is on straight
Most of the time I'm strong enough not to hate
I don't build up illusion 'til it makes me sick
I ain't afraid of confusion no matter how thick
I can smile in the face of mankind
Don't even remember what her lips felt like on mine
Most of the time.

Most of the time she ain't even in my mind
I wouldn't know her if I saw her
She's that far behind
Most of the time I can even be sure
If she was ever with me
Or if I was ever with her
Most of the time I'm halfway content
Most of the time I know exactly where it went
I don't cheat on myself I don't run and hide
Hide from the feelings that are buried inside
I don't compromise and I don't pretend
I don't even care if I ever see her again
Most of the time.

Most of the Time- Bob Dylan

YO! it's the green machine--
gonna rock the town without bein' seen
have you ever seen a turtle Get Down?--
Slammin' Jammin' to the new swing sound
Yeah, everybody let's move--
Vanilla is here with the new Jack Groove
Gonna rock, and roll this place--
With the power of the ninja turtle bass
Iceman, ya know I'm not playin'--
Devastate the show while the turtles are sayin:

chorus:
Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP!
GO GO GO GO
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!
GO GO GO GO

Lyrics, fill in the gap--Drop that bass and get the NINJA RAP
Feel it, if you know what i mean--
Give it up, for the heroes in Green
Just flowin, smooth with the power, kickin it up, hour after hour
Cause in this life there's only one winner--
You better aim straight so you can hit the center
In it to win, with a team of four--
Ninja Turtles that you gotta adore it's the:

chorus:
Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP!
GO GO GO GO
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!
GO GO GO GO

Villians you better run and hide--
Because one day you might not slide
So Choose your weapon but don't slip--
Vanilla's in control with the flex of the mic grip
Rockin' the crowd the way it should be rocked--
With the Miami drop that you like alot
You know, its Hittin' like a Ninja Turtle when the bass kicks in--
You better check your level
The power of the Ninja is strong--
Fightin' all the crooks until they're all cold gone.

Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP! Ninja, Ninja, RAP!
GO GO GO GO
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!
Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!

Ian Moss - "Tucker's Daughter"

Hang me for a sucker
On the plains out of Narrabri
Swingin' a hoe in a CAL-cotton row
Sweatin' on the dangers to me
Bossman's Mr. Tucker
He's a man I don't care to defy
And his only child wicked and wild is seeking my company

She wanna build me up, tear me down
Slap my knee bones to the ground
Me and mine are gonna be around
When Tuckers' daughter's a memory

Hot sun is a killer
She'll be waitin' at the end of my line
Taking the shade with a cool lemonade sayin'
Boy I wanna talka to you
Bossmans' only daughter
She ain't his and she'll never be mine
Never be down on a dollar or two
Or told what she's gonna do

She wanna build me up tear me down
Slap my knee bones to the ground
Me and mine are gonna be around
When Tuckers' daughters a memory
Build me up tear me down
I won't kneel 'til the trumpet sounds
And Tuckers' daughter's a memory

People born with all they need
They don't understand
Everything you want don't come from holding out your hand
Tuckers' daughter thinks she sees
A slave at her command
I know you need some time yet baby
But when the time is right
Babe I just ain't your man

She wanna build me up, tear me down
Slap my knee bones to the ground
Me and mine are gonna be around
When Tuckers' daughter's a memory

God I love the RE: Apocalypse soundtrack...

The guy's singing could use some work... but I'm a sucker for the female vocals on this track.

When you're taught through feelings...
When you're taught through feelings
When you're taught through feelings...
When you're taught through feelings

Destiny
Flying high above,
All I know is that you can realize

Destiny, who cares
As he turns around,
And I know that it descends
Down on me

It's just another day,
The shame is gone...
Hard to believe
That I've let it go, let it go, let it go...

Destiny
Can't replace my life,
Scary shadows of my past
Are alive

Destiny, who cares
As he turns around,
And I know that it descends
With a smile

Just another day,
The shame is gone...
It's hard to believe
That I've let it go away

It's just a melody,
It bleeds in me
Hard to believe
That I've let it go...

When you're taught through feelings
When you're taught through feelings...
When you're taught through feelings
When you're taught through feelings...

Just another day,
The shame is gone...
It's hard to believe
That I've let it go away

It's just a melody
That bleeds in me
Hard to believe
That I've let it go, let it go, let it go...”

Liked this song before, love this remix.

"Help me if you can...
It's just that this,
This is not the way I'm wired
So could you please
Help me understand why
You've given in to all these
Reckless dark desires, You're

Lying to yourself again,
Suicidal imbecile,
Put it on the faultline
What'll it take to get it through to you, precious
Why would I,
Why would I,
Why would I
Wanna watch you...

Disconnect and self-destruct
One bullet at a time?
What's your rush now,
Everyone will have his day to die

Medicated drama queen,
Picture-perfect numb belligerence
Narcissistic drama queen,
Craving fame and all its decadence

Lying through your teeth again,
Suicidal imbecile
Think about it, put it on the faultline
What'll it take to get it through to you, precious?
Go with this, why do you wanna throw it away like this
Such a mess,
I don't wanna watch you...

Disconnect and self-destruct
One bullet at a time
What's your rush now,
Everyone will have his day to die...

Lying to my face again
Suicidal imbecile
Think about it, you put it on the faultline
What'll it take to get it through to you, precious
Why do you wanna throw it away like this
Such a mess,
Coalesce,
Coalesce
Have his day to die

Disconnect
Self-destruct
Disconnect
Self-destruct...
Coalesce"

Have I ever mentioned how much I’m beginning to loathe the Tea Party’s first single off of “Seven Circles”? I like it alright as a song, but... Christ. Bob Rock, I hate you. Get your filthy paws offa my band!

The video sucks, too. [/grumps]

IMO this should have been the first single. It’s only the second duet they’ve ever released on an album after all... and it’s with Holly McNarland (whose voice fits the song perfectly imo)... and even if it’s blatantly pandering to the usual heartstring crap it’s so verily sucked me in. I love the way the lyrics sort of disassemble at the end.

"I don't know what it is
But I know that I need it
A thousand things and a kiss,
And the chance I'll deceive it...

I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more
I can't stand it anymore

I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more,
I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more,
I can't stand it anymore...

I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
And help me find my way, love
You are not lost, my love...
I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
I'm trying to break the chains of...
There's no prison here...

Beyond ourselves, lessons learned
And the space that's between us
A thousand things and a kiss
And the chance, it deceives us

I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more
I can't stand it anymore

I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more,
I can't stand no more,
I won't stand no more,
I can't stand it anymore...

I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
And help me find my way, love
You are not lost, my love...
I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
I'm trying to break the chains of...
There's no prison here...

Wishing you would stay
I am not far away
I’m trying to find my way, love
You are not lost, my love

And I know you feel it hurts us now
Like a thorn beneath a rose
But it stays within without us girl,
There's nothing more

I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
And help me find my way, love
You are not lost, my love...
I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
I'm trying to break the chains of...
There's no prison here...

Wishing you would stay
I am not far away
I’m trying to find my way, love
You are not lost, my love
I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away
And help me find my way, love
There's no prison here...

I'm wishing you would stay
I am not far away...
I'm trying to break the chains of...
You are not lost, my love
Wishing you would stay
I am not far away
I’m trying to find my way, love
There’s no prison here...
Wishing you would stay,
I am not far away
And help me find my way, love
You are not lost, my love...

The second single... well, I like it well enough. The lyrics "Tell me why your eyes weep" and the dove's cry bit annoys the heck out of me sometimes for some reason but the rest of the song is alright. Not as good as earlier stuff, but alright.

"So you say that your heart when it beats, it's like a landslide
And the word on the street from the man,
It brings you down...
Can you still find the time and the signs
To look around?

You tell me love,
Tell me where the stars sleep
Tell me why your eyes weep
I really want to know

And show me, love
Take me to the place where
Everything would change there
And we'd all be free

And you place your faith
In the mountain
But what you don't understand's that the man is
The same old rock
Can you still find the time and the signs
To look around?

And tell me love,
Tell me where the stars sleep
Tell me why your eyes weep
I really want to know

And show me, love
Take me to the place where
Everything would change there
And we'd all be free...

These are the times when we live inside our minds
With our hands in the air,
There's voices everywhere in the slipstream,
It's like a daydream

These are the days when we're dancing through the haze
With our
Ears to the ground,
We're searching for the sound of a dove's cry, but it won't be over 'til...

You tell me love,
Tell me where the stars sleep
Tell me why your eyes weep
I really want to know

And show me, love
Take me to the place where
Everything would change there
And we'd all be free...

I really want to know [x4]"

Bon Jovi! Who doesn’t love Bon Jovi?!? Don’t answer that.

“I wake up in the morning and I raise my weary head,
I’ve got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night’s bed

I don’t know where I’m going,
Only God knows where I’ve been...
I’m a devil on the run,
A six gun lover,
A candle in the wind
Yeah

When you’re brought into this world,
Well they say you’re born in sin...
Well at least they gave me something
I didn’t have to steal, or have to win

Well they tell me that I’m wanted,
Yeah I’m a wanted man...
I’m a colt in your stable,
I’m what Cain was to Abel,
Mister, catch me if you can

I’m going down in a blaze of glory,
Take me now, but know the truth
I’m going down in a blaze of glory
And lord I never drew first,
But I drew first blood
I’m no one’s son
Call me young gun...

You ask about my conscience,
And I offer you my soul
You ask if I’ll grow to be a wise man,
Well I ask if I’ll grow old...

You ask me if I known love and what it’s like to sing songs in the rain
Well I’ve seen love come,
I’ve seen it shot down
I’ve seen it die in vain

Shot down in a blaze of glory
Take me now, but know the truth
‘Cause I’m going down in a blaze of glory
Lord, I never drew first
But I drew first blood
I’m the devil’s son
Call me young gun

Each night I go to bed,
I pray the lord my soul to keep
No, I ain’t looking for forgiveness
But before I’m six foot deep...

Lord, I got to ask a favor
And I’ll hope you’ll understand
‘Cause I’ve lived life to the fullest...
Let the boy die like a man.
Staring down a bullet,
Let me make my final stand...

Shot down in a blaze of glory
Take me now, but know the truth
I’m going out in a blaze of glory
Lord, I never drew first
But I drew first blood
And I’m no one’s son,
Call me young gun...
I’m a young gun, yeah
Young gun
Young gun”

Don't sticky!

Sticky threads tend to die a horrible death (notable exception being the birthday thread... I guess...) and just hang at the top of the forum while people ignore them.

I like the song lyrics. No sticky!

As we stood there older than men
And younger than the boys (that's right)
We were as still as the wind
That blows on a hot August night

And you were lonesome as a jukebox
But deadly just the same
I could be as gentle as a newborn
Then spit into the eye of a hurricane

And we knew how to laugh
And we knew how to cry
Yeah, we sure knew how to live
But we don't ever

Never say die
Never say die

I guess you'd say we had a pact
These words we knew so well (that's right)
Still they remained unspoken
And we'd take them to the fiery gates of hell

Once I was afraid of love
But when it's your brother those things change
'Cause love is just another word for trust
So hear me when I say

Never say die
Never say no
You got to look them in the eye
And don't let go
When it's your own blood you'll bleed
And your own tears you'll cry
When you're brought up to believe
That it's the strong who survive
Never say die

Yeah, and we could run like lightning
Through the pouring rain
And we'll be standing like a soldier
Who comes marching home again

They ask what it is that I want written
On the gravestone where I'll lie
Tell them it's just my bones that died there
So save the tears they'll cry

My spirit is still riding somewhere
Somewhere in this night
When it's these three words that come to me
As I kiss this world goodbye

Never say die
Never say no
You got to look them in the eye
And don't let go
When it's your own blood you'll bleed
And your own tears you'll cry
When you're brought up to believe
That it's the strong who survive
Never say die

And also the most interesting use of the word "defecates" I've heard in awhile...

I hate and like this song. On the one hand, I want the guy to shut the **** up already, but on the other hand, I don't.

"I know
That it never goes away
All I feel
Everything I'm not today...

So I try and I try to make everything right,
I don't feel like I'm doing it,
It affects me

You wouldn't listen even if I told you,
Who the **** am I to say?
You're too busy with the lies they sold you
Another cure to fix your day

Open wide for all the **** they feed you
While the TV defecates
And blindly walk wherever they will lead you
While the edges slowly fray

I know
That everything can change
What I need
Is to open up again...

So never again will I look back in vain
'Cause today's not the past,
I don't need to relive it

You wouldn't listen even if I told you,
Who the **** am I to say?
You're too busy with the lies they sold you
Another cure to fix your day

Open wide for all the **** they feed you
While your TV defecates
And blindly walk wherever they will lead you
While the edges slowly fray

Are you satisfied?
I've given all I can
And are you pacified,
Or do you want more from me?

You wouldn't listen even if I told you,
Who the **** am I to say?
You're too busy with the lies they sold you
Another cure to fix your day

Open wide for all the **** they feed you
While the TV defecates
And blindly walk wherever they will lead you
While the edges slowly fray

I've learned
That this life's not just a game
Just a line
Between the pleasures and the pain...

You wouldn't listen even if I told you,
Who the **** am I to say?
You're too busy with the lies they sold you
Another cure to fix your day

Open wide for all the **** they feed you
While the TV defecates
And blindly walk wherever they will lead you
While the edges slowly fray"
