I signed on at the Jobcentre, then went to buy food in Asda.

Erm, no. Although this weekend, I shall be doing muchos drinking. Wales Vs Ireland. Six Nations decider. Oooh yes.

Nope, have work. Did something like once already and the day next wasn't exactly sunshine and butterflies.

Green Budweiser!

Where are they serving that?

Last year I got so drunk I was almost hit by a car in the middle of a busy street just outside of the bar. The next day, a few of my drinking friends & I were going to go to lunch, but we all called eachother to cancel because we were soo hungover.

This year, I'll have a drink in the comfort of my own home & watch the DUI check point that will be set up in front of my house. :D

Forgetting the religious side of it...

[psst!]Excuse to get drunk in the middle of the week[/psst!]

Though really, some people I know don't seem to need it half the time.

It's so weird. I know people who're using it as an excuse to drink green beer and I know people who see the religious side of it...

Though I don't know what that would be. Church?

Well, to be honest, I've done nothing with st. patrick's day this year, all my mates were at different uni's, but here's a pic of me and one of my mates from a couple of years ago celebrating the day whilst highly intoxicated and taking a camera in to the gents in a local pub and taking p[ictures of ourselves through the mirror, fantastic! - i'm the one behind the flash (not the superhero version, the light thingy)

Most people use "going out". It's usually one night or another in most towns I've visited - student night, 80s night, 70s night, alternate night etc, etc, etc.

I plan to do stereotypical Irish things, like drinking beer, listening to House of Pain, eating potatoes and starting a soccer riot. Go me!

Just remember the standard Irish traditions for anything sports-related - make a really good job of things for two-thirds of the event, then give up and get walloped.

You can always celebrate a late St. Patty's Day. That's what Cartoon Network is doing...sans-hard liqour.
