Mark Hamill as Joker in "Batman Begins" sequel?

Post by Bombshell »

Quoted from IMDB.com
Original Star Wars star Mark Hamill has joined the shortlist of favorites to play The Joker in the Batman Begins sequel. The actor, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi, has become a fan favorite to play Batman's colorful foe. He joins Crispin Glover and Aussie actor Lachy Hulme on the three-strong internet shortlist. Hamill became an obvious choice for some Batman fans after voicing The Joker for the Batman cartoon series. A spokesman for top Batman website Darkhorizons.Com points out, "The net basically picked Christian Bale to play Batman, so who knows." Batman Begins opens across America and Europe this week.

I hope this ends up being true. He did good work on the animated "Batman".

Even more frightening. The Joker Jedi Master.

Oh that would be awesome.

I'm sure they could give him the look easily enough and we know he's perfect for the character. He was a fantastic Joker.

That'd be awesome.

So you know, I think 'Batman Begins' was, too.

I'd love to see that. His Joker in the cartoon (like almost everything in that masterpiece) was spot on.

I'd love to see him play Joker in a sequel, he did such a great job providing the voice of him in BTAS and JL.

He dubbed over the actor who played the Joker in the live action Birds of Prey tv series.

...just thought I'd mention that.

He could play a good Joker, that's for sure. So long as it's nothing like the Trickster.:glance:

I was reading an article at another site and apparantly Crispen Glover is also being considered for the role. Now that's another great choice, since Hamill's getting a little old. If anyone here has seen Willard, Glover can be pretty creepy.

Crispin Glover would be an infinitely better choice.

Hamill would be a cool choice.

Didn't he also play the Hobgoblin in Spiderman TAS?

Crispin Glover? Didn't he play George McFly in the Back To The Future films? If it is the same actor, I haven't seen him play any creepy/scary roles, is he good in those sort of roles?

He is ideally suited to such roles. Go rent Willard.

Apparently Chris Nolan wants Sean Penn to play Joker.

Hamill aint too old I think. Kind of the same age Jack was in Batman 1989.

I'm not convinced on him being the Joker though. Yes the voice would be great and was great in the cartoon but still. I'm not sure if he would be perfect for the complete role.

I also heard somewhere that Two-Face is gonna be in the 3rd?

They're going to introduce Harvey Dent as the new District Attorney in part 2 (which is why they killed off the DA in Begins) and the plan is for him to become Two-Face in part 3.

Hopefully he won't transform from a black guy to a white guy without warning this time.

That always bothered me. But those films are not, in my mind, a continuation of the first two. They are more like another seperate two films.

I hope they do something with Dent that was kind of shown in The Long Halloween. I loved that story.
