Not just a line from a Bill Murray movie, it's a public service announcement.

Ow, my head...
Back for good... for Evil.

I did that, a long time ago, mixed snakebite (cider & lager for the un-initiated) with red wine after a night of much drinking and smoking.

I don't remember much.

Oh harden up. Mixing drinks is never enough on it's own to do you in, it's the fact that relative alcohol levels differ and your body doesn't adjust to that properly if you've been drinking beer at 5% all night and then hit a bottle of wine at 14%. The problem is usually always that you just drink too much in the first place. Try drinking non alcoholic drinks in between switching drinks and leave yourself some time to readjust.

And drink lots of water. A hangover means that you're body is dehydrated...

But, I'm lucky...I dont get them.

Bah, just drink till you puke than carry on after that, its gotten me through two years of uni so far with only mild liver damage.
With regards to wine and beer mixing, i must admit it isnt great, though last time i had a night involving both was my birthday in which i had a dirty pint involving wine , beer and spirits, tasted like crap but i had a good night in the end, felt like crap at work the next day mind.
just eat some food, usually rids me of any hangover i have.

As an aside, woo my first drunk post and my grammer and spelling is semingly greater than usual go me and such.

P.S, if anyone points out any spelling or grammer mistakes bear in mind i said "better than usual" and not "perfect".

Beer + Beer Hat + Cigars = Now that was not a happy story.

Mind you, Southern Comfort, Milk and Caramelo Icecream makes the best milkshakes ever.

Dear, you realize you keep talking this way and you're going to have to beat the boys off of you at BotCon, right? :P

I never got a hangover - but I gave up drinking 'cause I was a particularly mean drunk. I seem to have a lot of pent-up agression in my life... not that anyone could tell...

Agreed. I only get hangovers when I drink way too much and not enough H2O. Mixing them doesn't seem to do it.

On the other hand, mixing alcohol and weed together... :glance:

*laughs* Would depend on what you looked like and wore, I think. A 'hottie' in BotCon would be a dangerous thing, indeed!

*teasses*

I dunno, worst thing about BotCon for me is that I never seem to enjoy the CONVENTION. I kept doing work and then hitting the lounge each time I went... hardly fair!

Speaking of mixing beer and wine Jetfire my boy, I got a letter from the old bag in the flat downstairs post our saturday night boozing that went "Your loud talking through the night 3AM 4AM when most people are asleep kept me awake please can you make less noise".

Now for everyone else, saturday night post pub consisted of me, dan, and another friend drinking and chatting. We didn't even have any music on and we certainly weren't running around. Although, its a step up for the old cow to actually complain to me, because in the tome I've been living here (over a year now) she's put in three official complaints about the noise level, two of which were made on occasions when there wasn't even anyone in the flat. Ok one I'll hold my hands up to, cos I was drunk and a bit thoughtless, but that was afetr her two imaginary complaints. Seriously, if you live in communa buildings a certain level of noise is to be expected now and again, and its not like it was a school night.

Speaking of school nights, and getting back on topic, I had a works do last night where much beer and wine (and pimms) was mixed. I was still a little drunk when I got to work today. I'd like to say I've learned my lesson, but I haven't and probably never will.

And after quite some time, I think I can rule out beer and wine from being the primary cause of my current discomfort, since I'm still feeling beaten and no hangover could possibly last this long...
