No one realy ever knows exactly what you mean Stuart, that's half your charm, the other half we haven't figured out yet(still in the mods lab).
But that's a good piece of advice there, take what you like, leave what you don't, selective hearing can be usfull with some people.

"ya bugger" is probably more British slang than US, but is often used in the sense of "geezer", which in turn doesn't mean "big water spout"

but something closer to "affable rogue"...

I could have called ya "cully", but that would have been rather obscure even if you've read Terry Pratchett's earlier books...
