Hero HERO Hero HEEERO. Plus that's basically the entire film in three minutes. "Biggles is your time twin", "I have absolutely no idea!", "You again?", almost complete lack of Biggles flying any planes, nonsensical sci-fi idea half-arsedly knobbed from Back to Future (does no-one else have a time twin?), obvious Boeing Stearman stand-in, sequel-grabbing ending that wa denied, Peter Cushing about four minutes from death... I'm off to download.

Hilarious.

Edit: I should probably explain that this is the girl's college level sign language final exam. That's the teacher you see to the side there...
You'll probably like Fast and Loose... it's sort of taken over from Whose Line Is It Anyway, and has a regular song mime section...

The best part about the Fine Young Cannibals is that the singer and the voice just don't go together. I saw them on Saturday Night Live, and the guy looks like a burly dockworker or a blacksmith, stomps up to the mic, and then whips out that falsetto like nobody's business. It's disconcerting, but a very enjoyable song.

And that Interpretive Dance of "Don't Stop Me Know" was awesome!

I always love Fine Young Cannibals whenever I hear them, but I never actually think of them when I think of bands I like. Same thing happens with the Pet Shop Boys.

Seeing as I'm on a roll: -

Even if it is ruined by Einar Orn's stupid little rap thing in the middle.

The was some sort of Top of the Pops night on BBC4 last night where the original version of this was played (and no, I'd no idea it was a cover), which is a song I love just for the awesome and very middle class attempt to be down with da kids by putting a rap in the middle of it. "With my colour TV and my CD collection by Bob Marley".

The best thing to ever come out of Canada:

I was surprised they had more hits over there though. IIRC they were undone in this country after a Top of the Pops performance where, after weeks of everyone at school trying their best to keep up with the lyrics and being impressed anyone could sing that fast, it turned out the band themselves couldn't keep up the pace when singing it live and slowed the whole song down. Which felt like cheating and had them officially rebranded as "Crap", resulting in them never hugely troubling the British charts again.
