EDIT: [ youtube ] URL [ / youtube ] omit spaces. <- Wrong!

Sorry. I realised it was wrong awhile back but got busy and also figured someone would come along and correct it in the meantime. The bit that goes between the YouTube tags is the bit just after the "v=" in the YouTube url (or the bit after the backslash if you're using the short URL).

So " https://youtu.be/FDxM8-k60_M " or " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDxM8-k60_M " becomes [ youtube ] FDxM8-k60_M [ / youtube ]

Yay Depeche Mode, love that song. Those kids are adorable.

I recently came across this song, and thought it was one of those retro artists, until I looked it up and discovered it was actually first released in 1987;

Which in itself was fairly impressive - an Amiga 500 was used to make both the video and the song - but the band, 16 Bit, went on to become Snap! of the "Rhythm is a Dancer" fame, thus making this the roots of the 90's Eurodance craze. Which, as a 90's kid myself, makes this even more awesome.

Somewhat NSFW, but not in the way the preview looks. Pleasant song.

A long lost relic from Britpop showing, yet again, that the mainstream media pinned their hopes to the wrong band. One is now a producer, one is a university lecturer and the other got a little lost along the way

Ah, 60ft Dolls. I remember them, Horatio. And China Drum. And Heavy Stereo.

Think my favourite 'lost band' from this period would be Period Pains.

This amused me yesterday :) :

We stumbled on them by accident, as they got added to a taping of late night music show The Beat, alongside Bush (!), dEUS, Teenage Fanclub & The Boo Radleys and they blow the other four right off the stage. I think had the booze not got them, they could have been something special

If they were on a bill with that lot, I'm not surprised they stood out. Jesus, that's a bill that'd have you off to sleep in a jiffy.

to be fair, the tickets were free and the Dolls and Radleys were only added last minute. Teenage Fanclub were excellent though

Didn't realise there was a BBC Sessions disc (unless it's the same recordings as the single). Or that anyone else had actually heard of them. Can't say they've had that much play over the years, but came across them through http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rest-History-Va ... 000024PLQ/ -- the Xerox Girls track is the stand out, personally.

Ooh that looks aces! Pink Kross! I loved them too! Got a single or something of theirs . I'll be having a punt on that (I recognise all the bands on there!)

When she started talking to the guy at 2:05, I didn't expect to laugh as hard as I did. I watched that part twice.

Pretty successful.

Like the montage approach of this one, although it kind of wanders by the end.

Also

Cyprus = cheesy but I like it.

I'm sad "Dona" didn't make it through, but only because I made the mistake of reading the comments early on and the top comment was "Donut, donut, donut, donut!" and that's all I heard forever after when I heard the song.

Although from the studio recording of the Lithuania one I was fairly sure it was sung by a woman.

Israel were pretty damn good live.
