Tea or Coffee?

Post by der2 »

Has to be coffee for me, am head to toe with caffeine at the moment, in fact when I click submit new thread I'll be putting on the kettle again. I'm thinking of moving one into my room.

1 coffee, 1 sugar, milk first, just in case someone wants to make me one. :)

Carpe Noctem.

It's nice and peaceful at night. The city is so hustle and bustle, it ain't natural. It seems everyone is killing themselves rushing about, chasing after a few extra bank-notes. Pointless really.

... :eyebrow:

Now that seems a bit odd coming from me, since I drink gallons of super-sugared coffee and chain smoke all the time.

You're up early for a saturday.

Lived in London for awhile, I dig that jive. Give me simple Irish country living anytime. It's always quiet, which I like.

Am a barman and not got to bed yet after work. Got home and was in the humour to listen to music, so I've stayed up.

I think the power of caffeine is starting to fail me though.

Used to drink coffee -- don't touch the stuff nowadays. Tea's solid* with me, yo. Never put sugar in it -- too sweet and icky. I like my tea milky and frisky. I so should form a band with that as its name.

*Not literally of course.

Yeah, I keep crashing the lamborghini.

I like the city though, it's nice to be surrounded by people. Just it would be even nicer if they weren't in such a hurry.

coffee only works for so long. Usually until I eat something, it's quite remarkable how quickly it catches up.

Tae is grand Aardvark, used to drink a whoeful amount of the stuff. But the boys put me right in college, we had a round system in the house I lived in and they got sick of making tea for me and by default I became a coffee drinker.

Crashing, burning, soon will be sleeping.

Decaf tea, iced and sweetened is how we drink it here. Haven't tried coffee in over a decade, but still not interested in another go.

Why one or the other? I drink both. Black coffee. Loose leaf brewed tea, no sugar, no milk.

Everyone who said 'coffee' is disqualified. Sorry.

Tea all the way. I drink at least 5 cups a day in work. Keeps me running. And a good hot brew is really relaxing too.

None of those stupid flavoured teas mind. Oh no. PG Tips or Tetleys are my brands of choice at the moment - I really like the Fairtrade ones too, but they're more expensive.

Another good reason to love tea is the phrase "cup an tae". Come on -- that's just awesome. Say it with me people . . . or like, don't.

CUP AN TAE!!!

Tea bags are also of the few things left that I consider good value -- you get a forkin' army of the little critters. AWESOME.

Tea.

Tetleys, usually.

One sugar. Semi skimmed milk.

Water in before milk, otherwise the sugar doesn't actually dissolve.

About five or six times a day. I tail off in the evening.

At which point I switch to the rum.

Tea as well, somewhat annoyingly as it's a case of sucoming to a national stereotype. Milk (in before the water for me) and no sugar. Though on the odd occasion I do have coffe I have it black with added sweetness.

The tea vibe in England is pretty fantastic though. When I'm there tea completely replaces my coffee intake. It's like, coffee doesn't taste right... it tastes odd. Tea is much more natural.

And vice versa. I never drink tea in France, it feels wrong... and it's white, no sugar. Unless you're talking earl grey, or green tea.

Vaguely on-topic, chai is very, very nice too, I never get round to making it though :\

Oddly I'm one of the few people I know who drink tea almost exclusively. Most everyone else it's coffe or they avoid hot drinks all together.
