Hello from a slightly mad Brit.

Post by Time Lord » Sat Aug 09, 2008 5:56 pm

Hi guys, this is the Time Lord (Or "Timey" to my buddies) come over here for a wee chat once in a while. I'm hoping for a career in acting and joined some fandub sites as a way of learning how to VA. You might've heard me as the voice of Shockwave in TFCog / AdaptationGJ's "Scramble City Reloaded" fandub as well as the audition promo for BlackBumblebee's "War Within - Episode two". I'll also be Exadore in Dark Hero's "Macross: DYRL?" dub (God, all that made me sound like Troy MacClure just then!). But apart from that I also draw for a hobby and TV wise I'm also into Doctor Who (Hence the username) Torchwood / Sarah-Jane Adventures (Well it IS DW based), Red Dwarf (The Legend!) TF (Of course) and an awful lot of anime (So I think I'm right at home here) my favorite TF era is the original Marvel UK comic run.

Thank you for having me here. :D

Hello. Welcome to the forum and all that. Try not to take people too seriously, learn to deal with sarcasm, follow the rules, if at all possible use proper punctuation and spelling, and lastly watch out for Sades as she apparently bites hard.

Don't worry about only being slightly mad, after a few weeks intensive training we'll bring you down up to our level of full madness.

Well actually I was being polite: I'm actually all the way mad and looking for ways to go completely insane so I can be sent back to the loony bin (Cambridge, I believe :D).

There is one whenever you type something on Firefox, and apparently when you type a reply there is a spell check option as well. Welcome to the Archive. Please stand in line for your complimentary broom and melon. The broom rapes you in your sleep. As for the melon?

It watches.

Where to start?

Bleach
Death Note
Fullmetal Alchemist
Robotech (Just getting to know Macross through my Exadore role)
Cowboy Bebop
Boogiepop Phantom
Lucky Star
Dragonball Z
Studio Ghibli Movies (Laputa kicks arse)
Gurren Lagaan (Only started watching)
Project A-Ko (When I was younger. Haven't seen it in YEARS)
Tokyo Babylon (The same as above)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Planetes
Martian Successor Neidesco
Sailor Moon (Don't laugh!)
Voltron (Only ever watched it in welsh when I was 7, though)

Basically, I'm an all-over-the-place-so-long-as-it-keeps-me-entertained sort of guy. :)

It's probably better that way. Voltron or Golion?

My Anime knowledge basically begins and ends at Akira. I mean, I even capitalise the word...

I believe it was Voltron, as he was called that all the time (And Pidge, Hank etc).

Thanks, I forgot about Akira. And also Dominion Tank Police, Patlabor, Prince Arislan, 3x3 Eyes, Final Fantasy Advent Children (Well, you get the idea). :)

And never let the fact that they were packaged together under the same name for Western release confuse you again.

Christ, no. The world can barely handle one person like that.
