Merry Christmas! I'm heading to work in a couple of hours myself, but it's only for a few hours today. Christmas here boils down to KFC and a strawberry shortcake. I have over the years figured out where to find a proper Christmas dinner or two.

My thoughts exactly.

Slightly late happy holidays to all the merry people here. Some of you have been absolute rocks this year.

And that wasn't a typo.

OR WAS IT?!?!?!?!?!?!

So Christmas is over in the western world.

Right now I am sitting in the taxi to pudong airport to go on business trip the rest of week and Christmas has been not better: usual days at work. No gifts.

What did you do and get?

My former roommate, knowing how much I love Jennifer Love Hewitt, got me Jennifer Love Hewitt........ as a poster, sadly. But she tried.

At work, my friend got me the Doctor Who card game(designed by the same guy who did Discworld: Ankh-Morpork), and my boss got me a Cadbury stocking(buttons are delish, haven't dig into the rest of it yet) and a snack platter.

I got myself a used iPad, a stable wifi setup(no more 'net access solely through a cell phone! YAY!!!!), and some games for said iPad.

As for what I did, I stayed home and watched MacGyver and hung out with the cats.

I had a fun Christmas. Me and my girlfriend had a couple of her friends come over for Christmas and it was really good. We played silly party games, had curry for lunch (not really ones for the traditional turkey and what have you - although i do insist on a christmas pud that only i eat cos i bloody love it!), drank a lot of wine and tried some ridiculous cheeses that we all bought and then sat about groaning that we'd eaten too much in front of the telly.

Presents wise, i got some cool stuff;

A Spider-Man T-Shirt, the new film on DVD (and it has extras! praise the lord!), The Blackout's album (very jolly power-pop rock), a lego ninjago set and book, some wine, some beer, Chris Ware's Building Stories menagerie of stories (God knows where I am going to keep this, its huge!), a lego calendar (!), a magic 8 ball and some Pacman Magnets and a mug :swirly:

I will never grow up!
