The War of the Worlds is a three part(2 parts! in New Zealand - youtube link for part 1 at the bottom) drama produced by Mammoth Screen for the BBC, coproduced with Creasun Media, in association with Red Square.[1] This new adaptation of H.G. Wells' seminal tale — one of the first alien invasion stories in literature — follows George (Rafe Spall) and his partner Amy (Eleanor Tomlinson) as they attempt to defy society and start a life together, facing the escalating terror of an alien invasion, while fighting for their lives against an enemy beyond their comprehension.

Very much looking forward to a full on steam punk version at last.

I meant to post in here! I thought this was a good, if slightly too short adaption. I wanted a bit more from it. Really didn't like the flash forward sequences. I'm tired of TV doing the thing of showing 'here's where we ended up. let's work back from there! And then go back again! And then forward! So you all have to pay attention and stop looking at your bloody phones'. Loved the designs for the creatures themselves. Now I want to see a new (and complete) Tripods.
