What's your favorite Christmas movie?

Post by Sir Auros »

I really hate having the fact that we can't have the polls automatically use our topic heading...have I mentioned that before?

I have to go with "A Christmas Story," because it's a true classic.

A Christmas Story.... Just seeing the little boy being shoved down the slide by Santa brings a tear to my eye. Makes me wish Santa could do that to some of the stupid shoppers in the mall....

Think it's a good time to upload a different sig... ;)

Ah, but WHICH version of A Christmas Carol? There's about a half-dozen conventional versions, and I went with the one unconventional version...also thought it was much better than the others too, all of the message and none of the Dickens' boringness.

I take it you've never seen the 1951 version, with Alistar Sim as Scrooge?

Best. Version. Ever.

*whips out Voltairic Carbine. Lights up a cigarette, takes a few puffs, then assumes a pissed-off, ranting voice.

I'm going to say this one time; I've got a gun, it's loaded, SHUT UP!

Heh heh heh

If there was a battle royale between the casts of all the movies mentioned, Denis Leary would kick the living sh*t out of them all. Nothing can stop the power of Leary!!! His alter-go, Meat-Tracheotomy Man, will annihilate all in his path.

THE REF RULES!

*head spins around uncontrollably.

Home Alone, I love that film. Two was alright, Three sucked.

Home Alone was quite excellent, but I don't really see it as a Christmas film (although I see why others would). I see it more as a comedy, but now that you point it out, Christmas does play quite a huge part of it. Anyway, I went for the Muppets.

Blackadder Christmas Carol....

Ebenezer: 'Christmas' as an H in it, Mr Baldrick.

Baldrick: Oh...

Ebenezer: ...and an R. Also an I, and an S. Also T and M and A... and another S. Oh, and you've missed out the C at the beginning. Congratulations, Mr Baldrick! Something of a triumph, I think -- you must be the first person ever to spell 'Christmas' without getting any of the letters right at all.

We're in agreement. So, We agree on three things.

Windows XP is better than the other M$ operating systems, the gov't should spend money wisely, and this now....
