Who likes Rocky Horror?

Post by Sir Auros »

The movie itself kinda sucks, but the midnight movie showings of it with the callbacks, and the cross-dressing, and the people on the stage mimicking the movie is pretty keen. Rocky Horror is what I've done the past 3 Halloweens and it rocks.

*raises hand*

I actually like the movie itself, since the closest this part of canada is ever gonna get to a guy in a dress is the local parishoner...

I like the movie. Richard O'Brien is a true star. From Rocky Horror to Crystal Maze to Dark City. The guy never disappoints.

Edit: Same goes for Tim Curry.

Yes, a great show. :)

Never got to watch it this year as I like to on Halloween though. Might be a good DVD purchase! I have to start my DVD library somewhere. ;)

If you get the good, 2-disc set, there's a commentary track with callbacks.

well, i know that my first live show of rocky horror was scary/amusing. i had seen the movie before, but before the show started they made all the "virgins" (people who had never seen it in theaters) stand at the ends of the aisles and get a spanking with this wooden paddle. well, this half naked girl whipped me good with that paddle. it was very odd in a good kind of strange way...

i think sir auros was intrigued. as i recall, he was a bit randy that night. ;)

I don't really like Rocky Horror that much...then again I could never force myself to sit through it and watch it all...

And hearing stories like Lady Auros's doesn't exactly make me want to jump at the opportunity either...

It's splendid entertainment. but anything with Richard O'Brian in is.

It was entertaining. Not great, but fun. And O'Brian was the best thing in it.

I saw it at my University, I sat in the very front row. Some one blew up a latex glove and people were bouncing it all around the audience. Everytime it came to me I would nail it up on stage and the audience would boo me for it. It was funny. My friend jumped up on stage and threw the glove back in to the audience, everyone cheered him though.

Im a rebel on campus though. I do stuff like steal trays from the cafateria and slide down hills on them. Make Arnold prank calls to random people on campus. I drink Pepsi on an all coke campus and throw old computers out of windows

Watch it again. Only this time pretend the name of the movie you're watching is Ripley and Snail's Big Dragon Adventure. I guarantee that you'll enjoy it a whoe lot more.

It is the single most bizarre thing I've ever seen, but conversely it's quite good. My friends and I played dominoes and listened to a cassette of the soundtrack a couple weeks ago...I've never seen it at one of those Halloween/midnight showings, but that's cuz I think they're too weird, even for me...:eyebrow:

You're scaring the little children.

And no. Rocky Horror's stupid and repulsive. That is all. Vin Ghostal has spoken.
