A Warning about Commander Shockwaeve

Post by Unicron »

This is basically a warning that any posts after this one by the poster Commander Shockwaeve are not actually by Commander Shockwaeve.

You see, Commander Shockwaeve was scammed out of his password to the Archive. Someone impersonated Skywarp in an Email. The email was from Skywarp01@london.com. The Email is as follows:
----------

Disregard my last message. We know its one of the mods because the pic was posted in the "admin only" section. Me and Brendon has been talking. We think that either there's a flaw on the system or it is one of us. This is our solution to catch the culprit.

1. Try not to email any of the other mods, because I'm trying to talk to them one-on-one first, like what I'm doing to you.
2. You're password is stored but if you could reply to this message with your password. We will see if it match. We have reason to believe that the suspect might have been able to decrypt the passwords.
3. DO NOT MENTION anything about Carly in the message board. We know that the first person to mention him is the suspect.

We hope that this is not too much. As soon as this is dealt with, he will be fired from the mod position and a new one will be appointed. We will then do our best for this not to repeat in the future.

Your Friend,
Skywarp

P.S.
Here are the suspects:

Reflector
Starscreamsghost
Jim
Jetfire
Computron
Pun-3X
Galvatron 91
God Jinrai
Garand
Commander Shockwaeve
and Blitzwing

I'm 100% sure that it's not you because you were the most worried when I emailed that pic to all the mods. In the meantime, please follow up to this message ASAP.

----------
Appearantly this was part of a small chain of emails sent to Shockwaeve. And before anyone starts pointing out clues as to why this email wasn't from Skywarp, don't bother. Shockwaeve already knows about them.

The situation will be resolved once an Admin gets online.

Anything. Image

You're not required to do anything. Shockwaeve wanted me to warn people about the situation.

Should I mention now that I got a mail from that london.com account which was another "hilarious" re-working of that Devastator's knob image?

Addl got cc:d it, so he may have mentioned, or just deleted it like I did...

No, it's always been in the back of the forum. Which doesn't actually contain all of the posts from way back when, because the UBB needed to be cleaned periodically. So, some of those threads didn't make it onto the vB we have now.

Anyway, it's time to put this one out of its misery...
