I really love the look of Grimlock and would have been first in line but with exchange rates, it looks like he could be a little pricey for me.

Forbiddenplanet.com now advertising for £174.95 with a rrp of £199 expected available on 20th MArch

Not as big as you would think for that kind of money by the looks of it from these new pics.
He looks to be just slightly smaller than twice his G1 height.
Loss of job. Will sell for food here.

How big are the other Masterpieces???? I think he's gonna be at least the same size as them, but because he was always bigger then Prime, I wouldn't be suprised if he was a centimeter or 8 bigger then him.

MP starscream molds were small in comparison to prime. i would expect grimmy to be a bit bigger maybe. we'll have to wait to see fan pictures for comparison heights prolly.

Going by this picture of MP-08 and G1 Grimlock(about 5 1/2 inches), Masterpiece Grimlock looks to be about 10 inches tall. Masterpiece Prime is about a foot tall. At best, he'll be just a little shorter than Prime.

At this point, with how good he looks and the fact I have zero G1 Grimlocks (Animated is close, but no cigar) I'm really hoping he either A) Gets clearance priced to about $80 or so, or B) Gets a Hasbro release.

Thanks. That would make Grimsy 25 centimetres. That's just taller then MP Screamer and more then tree inch shorter then MP Prime, Magnus and Megs. DOH!

tformers.com has pics up of coloured versions of Alternity Megatron's robot mode.

I'm digging the silver. The blue, not so much.

Dang.. Alternity mEgs looking good.
Still only partial to that head, but the (samurai armor looking) body is nice.
I don't get the blue version though...
______________________________________________________________
Silver Prime = Movie Protoform(ish). I understand that.
______________________________________________
Red Prime = g1 / evolution of Bineltech.. with a dash movie 2007 + classics.
Silver Megatron = (see above) I get these.
_______________________________________________________________
Blue Megatron = ??? Rebirth Megatron... I don't get it. I looks kinda thrown together at this point. I hope it evolves. I suppose it could be Megaplex.

LOL don't tell me he wants to Bluestreak.. "He wants to be Bluestreak."
"Man.. not even Bluestreak wants to be Bluestreak, thats why he's Silverstreak now.." "I thought they was brotha's?" "..."

Its nice to see someone different in a nissan suit.

As far as I'm aware the reason for the colours is as follows:

Nissan GT-R:

Red- Prime's classic colours (probably also a production colour)
Silver- the "official" production colour of the GT-R

Nissan Fair Lady Z:
Silver- Megarton's classic colours (probably also a production colour)
Blue- probably the "official" production colour or some such.
