TRANSFORMERS TOYS AND MERCHANDISE SECTION
Sir Auros' review of: SkywarpName
: NA"Strike when their backs are turned!"Considered the sneakiest Decepticon to ever fly in the sky. Pulls practical jokes on fellow fighter planes. Low intelligence makes him prone to accidents and occasional mid-air collisions. Instant conversion capabilities allow for immediate battle-ready status.
Ugh, Skywarp. What did they do to you? You used to have a kickass paintjob with colors that personified the Decepticons to me. Now you're white and black with a fat, yellow head. Poor little thing. I got Skywarp as part of a complete lot of loose Machine Wars Basics and I doubt I would have pursued the figure otherwise. However, I did, so I might as well review him and drive our Machine Wars reviews closer to completion.Vehicle Mode
A white jet. Imagine that. Also included are crappy stickers and a robot mode that's visible as soon as you turn it over. The color really looks awful, but even coloring the red missiles would have helped a lot. I just really, really hate white as a primary figure for Transformers because white plastic looks like crap and it tends to yellow with age. The one good thing about this mode is that the weapons can be hidden in the legs to keep them from getting lost. Mine came without its weapons despite the auction saying each figure was complete. I should probably email the seller asking if he forgot them, but I'm just that lazy.Robot Mode
That's some head Skywarp has there. Yep, big, round, and yellow. Looks just awful. The rest of the figure isn't much better using white and black in place of an actual paintjob with details and the figure still has the problems associated with this mold that make it inferior to the Cyberjets or the other Machine Wars jet mold. The head can't move much at all and the forearms can only be put in two positions. The articulation elsewhere is decent, but the figure's just so ugly I can't imagine wanting to put it into robot mode and pose it for anything.Transformation
: 8 - Transformation gimmick hurts the disguise and the legs and arms are much less secure than the Cyberjets'.Durability
: 8 - Nothing's loose, but mine has no weapon.Fun
: 6 - If you call playing with something that looks like a Big Lots knockoff but you paid for as a real Transformer fun...Price
: 7 - I really can't complain much since it was part of a lot, but it's not worth hunting down by itself.Summary
: 6 - Ugly-ass paintjob and the mold itself has some notable flaws.
