Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Energon was my favourite too. The colour palette used for the Decepticons was great - all greens, purples and blacks with translucent highlights - and I really liked the designs. Even the chunky looking Autobots have their charms. I like the idea of mix and match weapons much more than I do spring-l...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I've been a bit fatigued by the endless G1 navel-gazing of the recent Geewunerations lines, so been looking back into the distant backness of the early twenty-first century when Hasbro were trying new things with Transformers (er, to a degree). Energon Battle Ravage Neat beast mode (aside from the f...

Re: TOY REVIEW CLAIMS THREAD

Right, I've done Siege Hound. My plan is to tackle the whole first wave, so I'll do Ultra Magnus and then (in no particular order) Flywheels, Shockwave, Megatron, Cog, Optimus and the two Battlemasters and 3 sets of Micromasters. That post up there reminds me I still need to do pictures for Cordon. ...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

It feels too soon to be giving us new versions of characters we've only had the year before. I was hoping we'd have more Cybertronian-based stuff. Can't blame Hasbro, though. They know we'll all be happily shelling out for yet more G1 versions of Optimus and the Seekers all over again, so why not pu...

Thanks. I'll update the accessories and you're right, I forgot to fold the toes in. Oh, well...

2019 was a lean year for reviews, so I'm going to try and pick up the slack and get some done this year!

Siege Hound

Name: Hound Allegiance: Autobot Size Class: Deluxe Accessories: W-5 Holo-beam Refraction Blaster, RT-10 Electro-Scope Launcher, Ammo clip In the general buzz and excitement around the latest recycling of beloved 'G1' characters in the recent Siege line, Hound seems to have been a figure that everyo...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Siege Micromasters Vhisper and Storm Cloud Wow. What a disappointment these are. It's the legs! Those balljoints are super loose and turning the legs around for the transformation means they fall off. It's a shame, because they're rather nice otherwise. Just not worth the silly amount of money that...

I'm sorry to hear that Sades. Hope things pick up for your family this year :) We went out for New Year and both have monstrous hangovers today. I did dancing! It was great :)

Yay Snapdragon!I'm very excited for him as he was a favourite in days of yore. Also Scorponok. Because what's not to love with a giant robot scorpion?

Heilung - 'Futha' (2019) Marvelous frightening sounding runes-based metal. Spooky, bleak and a great record. I feel like I'm at some interesting ritual somewhere in a frozen woodland. Bring Me The Horizon - 'Amo' (2019) Oli Sykes bid for the mainstream and why not? An excellent pop record that fuse...

Re: Happy Holidays fellow humans

We had a quiet one this year, as it's been a bit rough with for my girlfriend with her uncle and gran passing this year. I liked it. It was nice just to spend it having a restful, low key time. The cats enjoyed all the fuss, too :) Happy new year to you all! The future space year of 2020! Not quite ...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Transformers Authentics Grimlock & Megatron Saw these in B&M and thought they looked pretty neat for the £3.99 price point. Roughly Scout/Legends sized representations of the big legacy names in Transformers. They're fairly cheaply made figures aimed at the discount shop market. And that's no bad t...

Lego Star Wars 75105 Millennium Falcon Kind of a sad story to this, it was one of a number of Lego sets and Airfix kits my girlfriend's late uncle had at his house. Her family were kind enough to let me have this and a 2015 Star Wars Advent Calendar, which I've yet to open as they were clearing out...

Sleater - Kinney - ' The Center Won't Hold' (2019) It's been a long, long time since I listened to Sleater - Kinney. I've no idea why, as they're bloody brilliant. This is a fairly heavy and dark record, I found, compared to when I last listened to them and they were a bit more ...upbeat. It's a cr...

What's odd is the first half of the book is incredibly grainy, and then the rest is fine. So what happened? Rubbish.

Marvel Legends Wendigo BAF Uncanny X-Force Wolverine Found this guy in the Leeds branch of HMV, which surprised me. Cheaper than buying him online and I like the black/grey X-Force outfits, so this was an easy sell. Wolverine looks pretty awesome in this get up (probably my favourite costume for th...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Having been suitably impressed by POTP Slag* and Swoop, I picked up the other Dinobots. POTP Voyager Grimlock Mired in compromise as he is, Gbby tailrimlock isn't half bad. He's a bit pigeon-chested, but otherwise looks pretty decent. In robot mode, anyway. The beast mode is good from the waist up. ...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Hasbro Reissue Starscream Bought this as it's been reduced to a slightly more reasonable (ha ha) £29 pretty much everywhere. The silver colouring surprised me. And is very nice and spruces up what is otherwise a quite plain figure. Siege Barricade I wasn't sure I'd like this figure, given that the ...
