Re: Latest Music Purchases.

I've preferred Oasis with 20 years distance from their Brtipop hey-day. Wow. 'Untitled'; I'd forgotten about those. Them and those 'Shine' and 'The Best Album In The World...Ever!' were the ones I most remember. There's some good recent ones too, if anyone's looking to dip their toes in. First up: h...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Classics Ramjet I was feeling oddly nostalgic for this figure, having sold mine on a few years back. So I've bought him again. I do love his grumpy looking face. Probably the best use of this mould too - its arm articulation isn't hampered by having some inconvenient wings plonked behind his should...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

I'm quite excited for Titan Scorponok. Him and Trypticon are the only Titans I'm interested in. Hopefully this time around, Scorponok will have a head that's in proportion with the rest of his body. That pea-head the original had always looked rubbish.

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

That's where I got my Brunt from! I was quite excited to see some new Transformers in at retail. They've got Refraktor, but he looks quite dull and I don't really fancy buying 3 of him to get a decent alt mode. Springer looks really boring. I can't believe folks are swooning over this guy when the G...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

I like Ironworks, although it'd be nice if he came with a Micromaster packed in. Like Denyer says, nowhere seems to stock the Siege Micromasters. Although I've heard they're pretty awful, so I guess I'm not missing out too much.

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Cyberverse Spark Armour Prowl w/ Cosmic Patrol Nice figure with a fun Centurions style add-on armour. Prowl himself could have used some paint, or some stickers at the very least. He's very plain all in white. The figure itself is good, and a decent Legends scale figure. The armour looks decent and...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

Not much there to get me interested, either. Although I'm curious about Hoist. I've likewise passed on the Tetrajet mold. It doesn't look very good to me and the old Cybertron take on that thing looks waaay better. Sometimes, doing everything as it appeared in the cartoon isn't a good idea.

Re: International shipping from/to the USA about to get more expensive

Goes some way to explain why getting stuff posted from the other side of the world is cheaper. Good read! Thanks for the link.

I've not seen that. Is that by the current guys doing the G1 ongoing?

Re: Some thoughts on the Marvel TF comics

Well, nothing good comes of social media, so I don't blame him for getting into a heated online debate. Guy's got on an opinion on it. So has everyone else. The end. The Regeneration One (the largely unwanted follow on the Marvel comic) series I couldn't get into either. Partly because it didn't fee...

Re: Vintage G1 (Walmart reuses). Your thoughts?

I'd be more for them if they weren't a store exclusive and a little out of reach outside of the US. The main specialist retailers in the UK have been out of stock of these for months online ...unless you catch them at a convention, then they have piles of the things. I'm stupid for G1 reissues. I ha...

Re: What TV shows are you watching thread.

Tbh, I'm only familiar with Cloak & Dagger from their appearances in Marvel's Midnight Sons Horror comics of the '90s. I wasn't aware of their origin until you posted. I've been giving Preacher another go on Prime. I love the comics and this feels a bit wide of the mark, and the characters aren't ge...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I like the extra tweaks they gave to the Encore set - the clip on Bonecrusher's arms that holds them together is such a simple thing, but makes such a difference. It feels a lot more sturdy in combined mode than my vintage one. Same goes for the recent Hasbro reissue. I like the Constructicons.

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

That would be a good one - I'd love some modern, articulated Pretenders with a Legends scaled figure inside. That would be cool. And more likely to be something of a goer. Probably.

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Cyberverse Stealth Striker Shot Shadow Striker Roughly Legends/Basic scaled figure with a mid-transformational alt-mode with spring-loaded gimmick. Here, it's some pop out rocket thrusters, which rather makes a nonsense of the name. What exactly is stealthy or snipery about a pair of rocket booster...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

Er...back to Transformers... yeah, I'd forgotten too there's a lot of big ticket stuff already commanding money from fans. Unicron is a big financial ask, and it's a toy at the end of he day, it's something you can live without. A more sensible Titan scaled figure would have been more than adequate....

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

I honestly can't believe that after three years and the same amount of prime ministers, your government still hasn't gotten their shit together. The whole thing probably could have been reasonably painless with competent leadership in place, but hell, I don't think it would even be possible to make...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Having been impressed with Arms Micron Wildrider, I thought I'd see if I could track down his erstwhile Arms Mircon partner. I ended up with a boxed complete version and boxed complete AM Rumble and Frenzy too. For roughly the same price the aftermarket is now asking for one of tiny AM figure kits. ...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

A case of right idea, wrong size and time? I can't imagine anyone outside the US going for Unicron (the shipping costs would probably add another chunk of change to an already expensive toy) and, to be quite honest, this is asking a lot of anyone interested. A $600 price tag is a lot, and tips into ...

Re: Some thoughts on the Marvel TF comics

I don't think that really follows. People on Earth exist in a gendered society and they have to define themselves in relation to that world. They're also part of a species that does reproduce sexually, even if their own biological drives aren't necessarily conducive to reproduction. That's what the...
