I think , looking at some that I have, that the episodes were done with the original DivX ;-) 3.xx hacked Micro$oft codec, using VirtualDub, with the temporal softener filter turned on. These days it's probably the superior and totally legal 4.11, still using VirtualDub (which is great)... ---------...

Since that's the only difference in the audio/video tracks, and all they did was silence out Spike's line, getting it to fit would have been no problem. Personally, from what I've seen, I think they overdid the "remastering" on the Rhino film matte... the lasers are rather stark compared to the rest...
