Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

Ah, so it's basically solid. Something that if memory serves makes production more difficult and prone to flaws, for not huge benefit once weight-bearing needs are met. 8.5Kg... although it probably won't feel quite as heavy spread over that frame. Suppose it emphasises "not a toy" as well.

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

Looks good, glad it exists, but I can see various 3P companies getting on the bandwagon and catering to those that don't have the space / aren't inclined to pay a premium (that's way more than a Metroplex or Fort Max and not way, way bigger).

I've mentioned the certificate expiring to B, don't think I've got access at the moment to the account needed to fix it. edit: I can turn off the auto-redirection from http to https though. Visitors using Chrome/Chromium/etc may want to hit Ctrl+Shift+R to fully refresh the page once they've made su...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

Crosshairs I might pick up for the mould if it looks a bit better in-hand, wasn't interested in another Ironhide or Ratchet. Astrotrain being leader class does would reduce interest, although leader class these days probably just means the same sort of size as the ToyWorld one I've got. Apeface and ...

Just as not all plastics are equal, depends entirely on the printer and material used. You've also got to 3D scan and/or model it. So maybe.

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

since this is a dedicated sculpt there's lots of molded costume detail, so she doesn't look like a naked person with a couple rubber add-ons on top of body paint. Quite like the vampire era TBH, although early Gen X Claremont has most nostalgia. Trying to watch the cartoon having seen only bits as ...

I think it's as much that they've gone through most of the early recognisable characters and started chasing the tail of Bee v2 etc. and there's an even more limited market for BW.

Wouldn't be surprised if the bean-counter dept sees the line as pump-and-dump with a view to resting it.

Also you can reply but it would be pointless since that I won't read it. Hardly anyone post on these forums, so I rarely visit It's like troll bingo, isn't it? Most contintuies don't mention genes, but non denies them having genes. They also all have a super special alt-mode that's never portrayed ...

Almost as if they're trying to get the lined canned on purpose, isn't it? Going rate for KO MP cars seems to have settled at about twenty quid, which really shows up how much is licence and profit.

having genes doesn't make them organic
Start by finding something non-fictional and inorganic that has genes.

Posting "as" a Transformer didn't really come off any better before you were born, although it's the suggesting people JFGI that's unlikely to end well. we have genes which means we do have chromosomes There's a limited scattering of references to CNA in a few recent continuities, and some less by-t...

Re: Dalek and Warcry's Endless Star Trek Thread

Yeah, since we're now up to three main canons (show/movies, books, new movies) and it's not as if the retro-styled TV shows can be argued into a neat line, and it's a show involving time travel and alt-universes, it's very hard to give a ****. Will cheerfully take Federation or The Return over mater...

Agree about CGI... saw some of Guardians 2 because a friend's son is into it, and it was really generic and fake-looking. TV is doing better with graphics these days.

Noticed that on the Generation Selects figures that arrived recently (red Swoop and Ricochet) -- joints are noticeably loose compared to others (and comparing blue Swoop).

But now you mention it, the fire truck MM has one badly loose hip. Mould abuse is definitely a thing.
