Plus clutter above desk. Lot of stuff's in tubs. I might get some perspex to front the top level of shelves, but that'll have to wait.

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

What's the big Megatron next to Paddles and MP1? Are the Runabout/amok I sent you in there? I didn't see them. :( http://sixotransformers.blogspot.com/2017/11/review-wei-jiang-ne-01-new-evolution.html What I think of as original Masterpiece scale stuff (binalts, FT dinos, couple of TR leaders and a...

Have since unpacked some other bits and pieces for on the tops of shelving units too. And finally picked up a TR Overlord.

Re: Transformers (2019-?) #1 [SPOILERS]

Much better than the solicitation copy makes out -- wasn't expecting to find much to like from that, or the choice of characters, but it gets across scale and character depth plus nice touches (eg dormant titans). Reminds me a bit of the FoC art book -- grand and alien. Isn't a slugfest or cartoon c...

Cool, hope you have fun!

(It's probably a sign of how far things have come that you could drop the "the Transformers'" from the title and still have everyone from to 8 to 80 know what you're talking about).

Re: Who's buying all these Funko Pops?

Always seem to be marked down in Tesco and other places. And wherever they're stocked a lot of the range is obscure characters or variants (eg Chase from Runaways) -- as you say it seems unfathomable. Even in a big Forbidden Planet in London they're rammed in but didn't seem to actually have many pe...

Re: Lost Light - The End - SPOILERS

I assume the reason for pulling the plug (as well as the dire shared universe material) was down to different suits at Hasbro getting the control stick, plus a bit of reported internal strife at IDW -- they've still got the licence and go ahead to launch something that'll probably do worse in terms ...

Re: Lost Light - The End - SPOILERS

Check out the Wreckers material if you haven't already, but I think that's probably going to be it for interesting new ideas in TF comics -- the new stuff seems hackneyed from the solicitations.

Re: Siege Sideswipe

Yeah, I think it's paint but a lot of it seem to be over the red plastic colour also used for the missile -- gives a great finish. If Hound is similar will enjoy unboxing and adding to Wreckers (might use the CW one for a custom...) Considering the mould work I think Flywheels pulls it off, doesn't ...

Re: Siege Sideswipe

This was my exact thought process when I saw Sideswipe in stores. "Looks nice, but I'll wait for one of the cooler colour schemes." G2 black and accessories would be cool, but very impressed with the regular TBH -- it's the first time in a while that the paint/plastic finish on figures hasn't felt ...

Re: If you're having problems logging in, post in here and we'll try to help you

Yeah, it was the defunct domain account. Have set the email account to the AOL one (left placeholders in the Skywarp TFA and TFArchive RPG Team accounts where it was being used; this board doesn't like multiple accounts having the same address) and sent a "force reactivate" mail -- it should let you...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Apparently the new Ectotron (Ghostbusters' Ecto-1 as an Autobot) is a heavy retool of the CW Hot Spot / Onslaught mould, although I doubt the combining ports have been retained. All fab character incarnations and all ones I picked up apart from the leader-class ones (and that may change with Overlor...

Re: New/upcoming toys and merchandise thread -beginning Feb. 2019

Seige(?) Armada Optimus Prime and Star Convoy (!) Star Convoy might be a purchase, it's weird how much early-days-of-teh-intarwebs nostalgia can attach to something that didn't even get a release or mention in Western media. The MP Bee V1 KOs are pretty nice quality, can't really tell much differen...

Re: New/upcoming toys and merchandise thread -beginning Feb. 2019

I'm starting another thread because I can no longer keep track of which releases are Hasbro or Takara only, which ones are the same for both companies, and which ones would be the same but only get released here or there. Besides, we can order everything online nowadays, so geographical distinction...

MP Bumblebee V2 -- kind of looks like a cosplay costume in that promo pic. Prefer the more toy stylings of the V1 myself. https://www.facebook.com/DaimChocReports/posts/846769495673479 https://i.imgur.com/BkkE7eK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BkkE7eK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/21MUavi.jpg https://i.imgur.com...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Smyths have got deluxes at the same price as previous lines -- the finish on Sideswipe is pretty impressive. Got the rest of the first wave (already had Flywheels) and it looks similar on Hound (will save that until I can unpack Wreckers display) and Cog (saving for a bit).

Re: Your Favorite Human(s)

Thought Verity was okay, but more under Roche than Furman. I generally prefer material that either isn't on Earth or doesn't front-stage humans but Infiltration was a nice alternative approach that sadly didn't pan out in many respects. The Witwickies and hangers on were less annoying in the cartoon...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Re-posting as one or two posts were lost in the server move. I never would have expected a figure as tall as an older Leader-class from doing that. Nor would I. I really feel the height is appropriate here - I wouldn't want a UM that's 2X the height of Optimus. I think some people in the fandom (oth...
