Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
I'm off to get my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine today. Most of the things I've seen in passing (because I'm beyond the point of reading more articles about covid-19) suggest this is usually the one that people react to more so than the first one, which gave me an arm ache at it's worst, so this ...

Re: Latest Music Purchases.
Mmm. Despite the release notes about the mixing the interaction does seem to have been cut for time, it's almost maxed out a pressed CD. Not particularly complaining as banter's more entertaining the first couple of times, but they could have gone for a double disc "normal edition" rather...

Re: Boxes and boxes and boxes...
Well, I did it. I recycled a bunch of my ko MP Boxes as I have no intention of selling them on. Kept the boxes for my 3rd party stuff as they hold an intrinsic value with the toy. Was quite a cathartic experience flattening a bunch of boxes and freeing up a, frankly, ridiculous amount of space. Took...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
I have made many, many purchases over the last 12 months and at some point I will document my journey!! Most recent purchase was Ectotron (v1) mightily impressed by the figure and presentation. Only thing that could have improved the presentation overall would have been a "G1" styled instr...

Re: Hound's backlog
As for Comics I'm not really able to keep up on it but I heard that DC is going to be rolling out a digital subscription service and am thinking I just might do that. I think Marvel already has one but I'm not sure if it's available in Canada, and I might get signed up for both. I never really saw ...

Re: Hound's backlog
I've actually gotten to the point where my backlog was so bad for TV Shows, comics, games etc that I've sort of given up on it all. I stopped cold on Arrow, Gotham, Supergirl, Flash etc. Stopped reading DC comics regularly about mid 2018 and even my backlog of graphic novels aren't enticing me at al...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
But, no Shokaracts over here. The one piece of my BW collection I'm glad I never sold "back in the day" but honestly can't remember now what I did and didn't move on. That said, the BW stuff mostly goes for reasonably inflated prices nowadays and I don't have the display space for figures...

so essentially a podcast with a visual element.
It's something that's been banded about between a few of us already, but it's something to be built up to in terms of equipment etc over something that can be immediately jumped into

Re: Site content and community revitalization project
The forum kinda, sorta does work in the confines of a mobile screen but the pandemic hitting really got me back in website creation and figuring out a way we could make the archive more mobile friendly. That eventually turned into this project to rebirth TFA and gauge if there's interest in it happe...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
Bloody ridiculous. Something health services here are doing routinely AFAIK. It's looking more and more that antibodies don't necessarily form detectably without a strong reaction (and the only way to guarantee that safely isn't catching it in the wild) so wouldn't be surprised if that comes back c...

Shellsuits. Which I now realise I left out of my post despite that being my train of thought.
I seem to recall it being a very big thing and then very quickly being replaced by the standard track suit

That said, maple syrup is actually nummy. ... GO AWAY WARP I SAID IT'S NUMMY. Well someone clearly needs a nap! Can confirm in the late 80s/early 90s tracksuits were the go to clothing choice for the discerning child about the family home. Until the whole "cor don't they set alight easily and ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
Sounds like me after I get a flu shot. Yes and no. The symptoms, having had the vaccine, but not having had covid basically boiled down to feeling like I had over done it in the gym, in one arm. For people who have had covid that have suffered ailments beyond the shortness of breath (one person sai...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
As an NHS employee now, I have been fortunate enough to receive the vaccine. I can report no ill effects in the after math besides a very sore arm for roughly 48 hours afterwards (muscular pain as a result of the needle more than anything else) As I understand it, the vaccine can reproduce similar s...
