SFX wave the flag for a lot of stuff, not just Who and its quite telling that often you cannot tell the advertising features apart from the actual regular content. Its the same with spin - off comic heroes, which might as well be called Warren Ellis quarterly, the amount of appreciation they have fo...

Hmm. I had a subscription to the UK comic, but cancelled it when the cheeky so and so's wanted four quid for a bi-monthly puzzle book with a half arsed comic strip attached. Titan really need to pick up some of Pannini's UK format newsstand format comics to see how to properly work this format. The ...

Well 'The Impossible Astronaut' has left me going "ooh...!" A nicely perplexing set up from Moffat after a slightly awkward opening sequence. So there's the Silence ... tunnels... the proto-Tardis from 'The Lodger' ..an astronaut with a child's face...the Doctor's death...and..and... God k...

Is it true he said he'd come back as long as he didnt have to wear a wig?> I remember reading an interview in SFX with Paul McGann around 2003 ish where he was asked if he would return to the role should it ever come back on TV and he replied at the time that it would probably be best to let someon...

Aye. Just dug out and watched 'School Reunion' this morning. A fine memorial

that is a london toy shop for people with more money than sense

i haven't been to london since 1999, when a pint cost nearly five quid. that put me off and i've not been back since.

plus: all that rushing about and shoving. what's that all about?

That Spearhead From Space ? I watched that not so long ago and really enjoyed it. I liked how it felt the show was starting over again (a bit like with Matt Smith now - so looking forward to the new series, despite the radio times usual plot-line / monster giveaway carelessness). For my sins, I'm wa...

Forbidden Planet have long charged £30 or above for Voyagers. Currently, they sell the PCC 5 packs for 22.99 and Deluxes are usually 16.99, with Scouts around £10. I think that, like Amazon, they largely bypass the mediocre product offering from Hasbro Europe and tend to get their stock from Hasbro ...

Exactly. Producing an Optimus with trailer or Magnus with armour outside of a major themed line (i.e. Movie lines, Unicron Trilogy, etc) isn't going to happen. And whilst you can argue that there is a demand for add on guff, how much of a demand is there actually? A very small one, I'd bet. I don't ...

I'm glad Taktom have woken up to this. If the third party market continued to grow, where would it end? It's only ultimately going to end up harming product development in the long run. I, too would like to see this, that or the other toy produced, and do find the Classics line something of an excer...

I've been re-reading Marvel UK's hoary olde Overkill comic that had quite a few features on the then-emerging Anime releases in the UK. I have thus far tracked down Project A-Ko (which I enjoyed a lot more now I'm older than when I owned this when I was young), the animation on which is stunning. I'...

SCC has John, Sarah and Cameron jumping forward in time from 1997 (i think - the late '90s, early '00s) to 2007, where Judgement day has still yet to happen (I think T2 has it pegged as August 28th 1997 or something). i can't remember what the set up of T3 is - whether Judgement Day has been delayed...

I hadn't spotted that about River. I just assumed it might be because we keep meeting River earlier and earlier in her timeline, and she might not be fully up to speed with all the Doctor's travelling chums - but then the Doctor doesn't let on for the most part that he's travelled with other people ...

I don't know how, but I've managed (for the most part) to remember what watching Doctor Who was like as a child, so the key visual scenes that I can recall (Tom Baker's face forming out of stars from the opening seqences, the grisly human head/ Dalek thing from Remembrance, and Ace getting trapped i...

Hmm...I just liked the paradox of the first film giving rise to skynet's development - that it has to send the terminator back in time to ensure its own existence (it must be aware of its origins, given how in T2 Dyson states the wrecked endo skeleton chasis pushed to Cyberdyne into new areas of dev...

I think it would make sense for figures designed to appeal to collectors (although that's rather fudged now, being spread across multiple sub-themes) to have separate weapons for these toys. Hasbro have got too caught up with the weapon storage capability brought to the fore during Generation 2 and ...

I'd not heard of MP-04 having QC problems, what are they? i only own two MPs, the Hasbro Skywarp (£20 from argos - bargain!) and Grimlock (not quite a bargain at £60 but preferable to paying £100+ for either of the Takara versions (lovely packaging and accessories aside, he seriously is not worth th...
