Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
I've bought lots of stuff lately. Most of it has made me happy forever for a minute or two before the thrill wears off. I had the earth-mode Sideswipe and birb Skywarp two pack show up yesterday. Sideswipe... I should sell. I don't care about him. I just wanted AMERICA BIRB, because the Airrazor mol...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS
Doing it the crowdfunded way means they know exactly how much income a figure will generate without having to worry about producing a volume large enough to cover what goes on remainder or clearance I've thought about this some more, and while I still think it applies to Unicron, I'm not sure that ...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS
A part of me hopes that this campaign fails because I really don't like the idea of billion-dollar companies like Hasbro using crowd-funding. They avoid taking any risk and guarantee themselves profits, while charging a higher price than they could get away with at retail and pocketing buyers' mone...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS
https://hasbropulse.com/products/transformers-victory-saber Victory Saber is finally getting a western debut, assuming it hits the crowdfunding numbers. I ordered two: one for myself, and one to resale later when the aftermarket prices skyrocket. Apparently there's a customer limit of 5, so it'll be...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
Lio Convoy! Do love this one, he's probably the best of the RMs. If memory serves this is the metallic version? Looks like the same one I've got. <squints> I think that's the regular deco, not the metallic one. Hard to tell without them side by side, though. I, too, need to dig out my Robotmasters....

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
It's not great, no. One of the comments from the cable media engine that struck me as somewhat sage, however, is that the current collapse of the Afghani government was a foregone conclusion whether the withdrawal happened now, ten years ago, or ten years in the future. I think it may have been the ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
A couple of days ago I found out that my brother, who is vaccinated, tested positive and now has to quarantine for ten days (I haven't actually seen him in person since April, so there's no exposure to me from him, but he does live in the same area). And today I learned that a friend in Virginia, wh...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
The display case actually catches my eye just as much as the Constructicons and friends, though. I feel like it compliments the colour of the figures nicely. It wouldn't be half as neat on a metal/glass shelf. It wasn't too expensive, I don't think... but I've had it for ten years or so. I got it m...

Re: Anyone watch Masters of the Universe Revelation? [spoilers]
I don't know much about it, but I watched the first episode to see what the complaining was about, and it was, I think the term for it is, a nothingburger. Seemed pretty obvious that they booted He-Man and Skeletor into a dimensional pocket so that they could spend the first arc or season of the sho...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
With leadership like this, it's no wonder the public are having a hard time buying into, well public health. Won't argue that the former guy here in the US wasn't a force of nature for stupid unto himself, but here it's more of a bottom up problem now: Texas, Florida, and Missouri account for 40% o...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
Spent a good chunk of the weekend completely emptying a cabinet to redo everything that was in it. The catalyst was the Master Made chibi devastator finally arriving in the mail Friday. The Combiner Wars Devvy and its undersized knockoff, the knockoff Gravity Builder, and Toyworld Constructor had be...

I'm more alarmed by the state of the reissue cassette Ravage that comes with him. It looks warped. Hopefully it's a factory error and not mold wear.

Although, reading about the transmissibility of the Delta variant, I wonder if things are on the mend or if this is just the eye of the storm until a vaccine-resistant strain emerges. <sigh> https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/who-urges-fully-vaccinated-people-to-continue-to-wear-masks-as-delt...

Re: Custom Siege Pinpointer (or: babby's first dye job) [and other random customs]
jamming a bunch of screwdrivers in between the shoulder pieces and forcibly levering the joint apart. That's an even worse idea! I physically winced when reading this. That's... not a good idea. Tangentially, I should probably buy lots of Galvatrons as it's a figure that'll cost a fortune in a few ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
Places seem to be demasking here (walmart and other big retail places seem to have dropped the mask requirement for employees over the past few weeks, but a lot of fast food workers still have theirs). Although, reading about the transmissibility of the Delta variant, I wonder if things are on the m...

Re: Need some advice on a MP style Megatron
Never had any experience with the 3rd party Megatrons, but you might try searching for a knockoff of MP36. I've heard generally good evaluations of MP knockoffs, considering they're about one-third the price of the official figures. Only one I have myself is a KO Ratbat which *maybe* had a pin drill...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
Gib Paralyzer plz. *grabby hands* My admittedly foggy recollection is that those guys were briefly clearanced for blowout prices when FubPub lost the license, but by the time I heard that was a thing they were already gone. I'm hoping that the new Kingdom Waspinator mold gets tarted up as some of t...
