Okay... just to keep an overview - the Superlink/Energon combiners:

Part 1: The Aerialbots

Takara - Hasbro

The leader:
Superlink SC-26 Afterburner - Energon A5 Storm Jet

The limbs:
Superlink SC-26 Air Rider - Energon A1 Treadshot
REPAINT:
Superlink SC-26 Firebolt - Energon A4 Windrazor
Superlink SC-26 Sling - Energon A2 Sky Shadow
REPAINT:
Superlink SC-26 Skydive - Energon A3 Terradive

The gestalt:
Superlink SC-26 Superion - Energon Superion Maximus

NOTE:
"Air Rider" was the Japanese name of G1 Air Raid, "Sling" was the Japanese name of G1 Slingshot, "Firebolt" was the Japanese name of G1 Fireflight.
"Afterburner" is due to Armada Blurr already being named "Silverbolt" in Micron Legend.

Part 2: The Combaticons

Takara - Hasbro

The leader:
Superlink SD-21 Onslaught - Energon D5 Barricade

The limbs:
Superlink SD-21 Volter - Energon D1 Stormcloud
REPAINT:
Superlink SD-21 Blast Off - Energon D3 Blackout
Superlink SD-21 Brawl - Energon D4 Kickback
REPAINT:
Superlink SD-21 Swindle - Energon D2 Blight

The gestalt:
Superlink SD-21 Bruticus - Energon Bruticus Maximus

NOTE:
"Volter" was the Japanese name of G1 Vortex.
"Blackout" was originally supposed to be named "Raptor", but got changed for whatever reason.
"Blight" was originally supposed to be named "Scattorshot". In the meantime, the name got attributed to the Shockblast repaint, who has now reverted to being named "Six Shot", so it's up to anyone's guess what happened to the name "Scattorshot"...

Part 3: The Constructicons

Takara - Hasbro

Superlink Long Haul - Energon C2 Duststorm
REPAINT:

The gestalt:
Superlink Buildron - Energon Constructicon Maximus

NOTE:
"Glen" was the Japanese name of G1 Hook, "Buildron" was the Japanese name of the G1 Constructicons and is due to Armada Scavenger already being named "Devastar" (Japanese name of G1 Devastator) in Micron Legend.

Superlink SD-21 Brawl - Energon Kickback
REPAINT:
Superlink SD-21 Swindle - Energon Scattorshot

The gestalt:
Superlink SD-21 Bruticus - Energon Bruticus?

NOTE:
Not sure about "Vortex" and "Blast Off". Would actually be "Bolter"/"Vorter" and "Breast Off"; regardless, these are the Japanese names of G1 Vortex and Blast Off.

Hrm. According to the info I got (from a reputable member of this 'ere board), Blast-Off is the orange chopper, whilst Swindle is the brighter green of the two tanks.

Hrm.

[EDIT] - My bad. I've got Volter down as the orange one. My notes still say that the tannish green is Brawl, making the brighter green Swindle...

The e-Hobby listing is quite clear in that regard: The dark green tank which Hasbro is calling "Kickback" is named "Brawl" in Japan, while the other one is "Swindle". :)

Yep. You're quite right.

I think what's been confusing me is this...
http://tfarchive.com/hosted/files/20041 ... uticus.jpg

The colours are quite different in that picture to what's on the eHobby site.

So, Swindle is in fact a lot more green than he appears in the eHobby pictures.

So, Brawl = forest (?) green; Swindle = mustardy green.

Blah.

http://www.seibertron.com/toys/gallery. ... =0&start=0

Why exactly does Seibertron refer to the Takara versions by their alleged Hasbro names? And where does the "Maximus" come from? Unlike Superion Maximus and Constructicon Maximus, Bruticus shares his US name with his Japanese counterpart...

According to Seibertron, the USA_only Action Masters are from the Japanese-only "Zone" series.

I don't actually know what I missed being out earlier this week, but I've chopped out a couple of earlier posts as they didn't really have anything to do with the news item and seemed likely to veer off at a tangent.

Just to make it clear: "Bruticus Maximus" is actually the correct American name. :)

I assume he comes with a small energon dagger and an Ides of March sticker.
