Aww, that's too bad.

According to Japanese readers, Ratchet is just a concept design used to sell the idea of Human Alliance.

Protoform Prime and Starscream were used to demonstrate how the Mech Alive gimmick works.

None of these are actually planned toys.

That Scattorshot doesn't look all that bad, think I've seen it before, but I may get it all the same.

Nope, Scattorshot is an all-new mold for the ROTF toyline.

So Prime and Megatron both come with the same bonus figure? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Doesn't help that the mold is rather mediocre either. I mean there's quite a few movie 1 deluxes that were better (imo). Then you've got the ROTF deluxes that I feel were a step above the first movie figures.

Not to mention any number of Cybertron/Classics/TFU/Animated molds that you could probably get away with repainting/remolding (like they did with the movie 1 walmart exclusives).

im suspecting they just had quite a few left over... i cant imagine he sold all that well. im guessing this is a store exclusive, so the numbers required for a run might just match up. plus the dvd is coming out supposedly november-ish time, so might be trying to capitalise on that boost to toy demand.

or maybe camshaft is a bucketload of awesome the rest of us somehow missed, and these will sell like hotcakes, even to people who've bought leader prime/megs already. who knows?

EDIT apparently camshaft was not near the end of the movie 1 line... just shows how forgetable he was. im sure i saw him still shelf-warming even as movie-1 deluxes were being taken down.

Eh. I have Swindle. Cam's color scheme is better, but the mold is lacking. Arms are kinda crappy. Not terrible, but I wouldn't pay more than clearance if I had to do it again. I guess as a free add-in it's not bad.

Camshaft wasn't anywhere near the end of the line.

Anyway: Gallery of Hoist.

Remember how Hasbro said at SDCC that the third bike sister would be named "Flareup"?

Now they say her name is "Elita-1":

Tramp would be so happy.

For some reason, I prefer the name 'Flareup'.

Yeah. Me too. Flareup always sounded better to me, for some reason.

That throws the whole 'Reign of Starscream' theory out, then.

It could just be a case where they were both named Elita-1. How many Jims do you know?

Or Hasbro simply didn't feel the need to adhere to the events of a sub-contracted comic book. :)
