"Kill anything," Cyclonus corrected Barrage, "that gets in between us and what we came for."

The Targetmaster looked around the fortress antechamber, taking in the rickety, dilapidated structure with a jaded optic.

"This is not," he said, "in the same condition as the tunnels, or the ruins outside," he told his men. "Note that that rust and acid damage have been patched, at least halfheartedly, and the structural support beams have been reinforced. Subtly, though. As if whoever did this didn't want to live in total squalor, but appreciated the level of camouflage it gives them."

Backfire struggled to his feet.

Venom noted Cyclonus words and made a decision to keep a very careful eye on him.

(OOC: Ah. This is going to be fun. :D)

Fort Syck

Barrage stumbled into the antechamber behind Cyclonus, pointing his gun into the dark chambers, broken optics scanning for anything that could be discerned as a threat.

Cyclonus continued down the hall, growing a little bit jittery when nothing and no one came to greet them.

"Be on your guard," he told his men, although he knew it was totally unnecessary.

The corridor they had entered started out wide, but quickly started to narrow toward a bottleneck.

If they're going to make a move, he thought, it'll be now.

(OOC: As you wish :))

As Cyclonus and his crew entered the foyer, Dyrus, seemingly alone, approached from the adjoining corridor, opposite from where the Decepticons had entered. He stopped at the archway between the rooms, blocking the path between the foyer and his master’s chambers.

“You are trespassing, forsakener,” Dyrus told Cyclonus. “The lord of this fortress must not be disturbed. You will not go further.”

Suddenly the foyer came to life as droves of mutants crept out from hiding. The ogre-ish Sorge revealed himself as well, still dragging his large ball and chain behind him, and took his place near Dyrus. They surrounded the group of Decepticons within the large room, but did not attack.

“Chose now, forsakener,” Dyrus warned Cyclonus, “Leave – or be torn apart."

"We'll tear you apart, mutant freak!" Barrage shouted. Without further ado, the resolute (although not too bright) Insecticon aimed his sonic pulse cannons and fired two rippling forms of sound (OOC: think those supersonic guns in Rise of Cobra) at Dyrus. However, due to his hands shaking, the aim's a bit off. "All of you!"

Without checking to see if he's done any damage, he switched targets and sent a few more blasts in rapid succession at the masses of mutants.

"DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!"

Acid Wastes

Outback ran through the circle of mutants, scattering them with his shoulder and his axe as he plowed through them. The three-armed mutant behind him cried out: "Wait! I need help!"

Outback ignored him and ran on. Having announced himself, whereas before he had been left alone, the mutant now drew the attention of all the other mutants around him. They started towards him, Outback forgotten from their minds.

Outback heard the three-armed mutant struggling against them, and turned to look back. "Aw, hell." he said. He shook his head briefly at the stupidity of what he was about to do, and charged the throng of mutated robots.

Fragging idiot. Always wait for the leader to decide... that way none of the blame can come back on you...
That being said, Roadblock dropped the bot he had been carrying for far too long, and revved the blade on one arm, and loaded his missle launcher in the other, ready for battle.

If Cyclonus had had any intention of proceeding peacefully, he would have slew Barrage where he stood for his violent outburst. As it happened, though, the Insecticon was following his orders precisely as Cyclonus had meant them.

"Kill them all," he said, his voice low enough that Dyrus wouldn't be able to hear.

Taking a few steps forward, Cyclonus schooled his face into something almost resembling kindness. He brushed past the nearest mutants as if they didn't concern him at all -- which, in fact, they didn't -- and said, "Surely we can discuss this like civilized beings?"

He took a few more steps toward the leader of the mutant pack...and he effortlessly drove his left fist straight through one of the support columns that held up the archway the enemy was standing under. The entire structure started to creak ominously, and chunks of metal began to fall from the ceiling.

Fort Scyx

Venom transformed and buzzed about firing his guns at the mutants and jabbed at any foolish to come too near with his poison stinger.

~*~

Squawktalk perched up on top of a pillar and hopped from foot to foot aiming his high decibel sonic boomers at an mutant that came near.

~*~

Flywheels split in two his bottom half trundled after Skullcruncher firing its cannon at the mutants.

The plane taxied along the ground trying to get a missile lock on the enemy. Firing heat seekers as soon as he had.

Dyrus leapt away from Barrage’s sonic pulse wave, the vibrations of the attack pushing him to the floor of the foyer. Clearly the Decepticon visitors were beyond negotiating.

"You dare?!" Dyrus hissed through gritted teeth as he climbed to his feet. "Rip them apart!"

As commanded, the mutants closed in on the Decepticons and attacked. Sorge quickly stomped towards Barrage and Roadblock (OCC: and anyone else nearby, really), grunting angrily while he swung his large ball in chain in the air before slamming it down at the two Decepticons.

----

Meanwhile, Cyclonus had already drew in on Dyrus, who gasped when the Decepticon sent his fist through a support column holding up the archway between the foyer and the corridor that led to his master’s chamber.

“Keep back!" He produced an electro-whip and cracked it in Cyclonus' direction. "Stop him!" Dyrus then cried out to a group of nearby mutants. "This forsakener attempts to bury our lord!”

Obediently, the mutants obeyed Dyrus and pounced at Cyclonus.

Roadblock tucked and rolled to the right away from Sorge's attack and immediately came face to maw with a mutant. He revved his saw and sliced across the mutant's face, severing it.

Roadblock turned around and fired a missle towards the feet of Sorge, attempting to cause him to trip and fall.

Barrage was slower than Roadblock, even if he hadn't been burried under rubble before. As thus, when he rolled aside from Sorge's attack it wasn't a clean escape. Sorge's weapon dented his back and sent him slamming onto the legs of a group of mutants.

"Erhnnn.." Barrage said, slowly getting back to his feet, looking face-to-face with an amalgamation of optics, fangs and horns. Barrage cocked his head to one side, and then savagely headbutted the mutant, before kneeing him in the stomach and throwing the unfortunate cannon fodder at Sorge.

It was more of a push than a throw, though.

Acid Wastes

Outback hacked a path through the zombie mutant robots, trying to reach the struggling figure in their midst. With a loud thunk, he buried his axe in the torso of a mutant with a hard overhand swing. The axe split the mutant's torso and his shoulder and arm peeled off in a horrifying way. The mutant turned slowly around with a slack-jawed expression on its face, its eyes glowing dimly as it became aware of Outback's presence.

"Oh crap," Outback muttered.

Almost immediately he was being overwhelmed by the mutants as they swarmed towards him. A mutant closed his hands around Outback's throat and began to squeeze. He was hemmed in, there was nothing he could do.

"Hey!" he shouted to his newfould ally. "If you want to get out of here....help!"

Suddenly the mutant strangling him flew backwards, crashing into the three-armed mutant. The three-armed mutant rose, tried to transform, got stuck, and turned back. "Can't transform," he said to Outback.

Outback tried to get away from the mutants, but couldn't. Then he was flying through the air, for no discernable reason. He crashed into his new friend and looked at him, stunned. "What the hell?"

His friend looked at him, and he could tell that he wasn't playing with anything close to a full deck. Outback shook his head. "Whatever, you can tell me later. Lets get the heck out of here."

He set off at a dead run with the three-armed mutant.

Cyclonus snapped his left arm up into the path of Dyrus's whip, ignoring the searing pain of the electrical current it forced through his body. With his right hand he hefted Nightstick and fired several blasts at the oncoming mutants. Then he flexed his left arm, wrapped his hand around the whip and pulled hard to the side, trying to fling Dyrus into another of the support columns.

Skullcruncher continued to chomp and chew his way through the mutants, heading vaguely in the general direction of Sorge with all the subtle grace of a gut-shot moose. He gorged himself on the body parts of anyone foolish enough to get in his way, and left a trail of mangled limbs and leaking torsos in his wake.

Though Roadblock’s missile exploded at Sorge’s feet, searing chunks of metal away from his legs, the large mutant continued to advance. Nor was the large mutant fazed when an incoming mutant, thrown by Barrage, bopped him on the head.

Sorge simply stared blankly down at the fellow mutant, lifting it up with his large hands.

“Huh?” he grunted.

Disinterestedly, he hurled the mutant up at Squawktalk, returning his focus on the other two Decepticons and the approaching Skullcruncher. He roared, then swung out his ball and chain in a long sweep, with the intent of taking out the three Decepticons and with little regard to any nearby mutants.

-----

Venom had managed to distract Dyrus, if only for a second, forcing him to turn away from Cyclonus to quickly sidestep away from the Insecticon's stinger.

It gave Cyclonus all the time he needed to grab hold of the mutant leader's whip and swing him at a support column. The impact shook up the archway above, causing bits of debris to crash down on and around him.

Dyrus pushed himself away, leaving a notable impression behind on the column. “Stop him before he destroys us all!”

In a zombie-like fashion, the mutants that the Targetmaster had shot down earlier climbed back to their feet and drew in on Cyclonus.

Sorge's ball-and-chain slammed into Skullcruncher's side and flipped him over into his back, which left him flailing uselessly just long enough for a horde of mutants to leap on top of him. With an angry roar, he transformed to robot mode, grabbed his sword and started hacking through limbs as he tried to climb to the top of the pile.
____________________________________________

Cyclonus snarled with disgust as the already-blasted mutants started to climb back onto their feet.

"Fools!" he said, releasing his grip on Dyrus's whip, "You have no idea what you're dealing with! I am a first-generation child of Unicron! Do you honestly think that any number of you can stand against me?"

As the first wave of mutants was closing to grappling distance Cyclonus transformed to vehicle mode, aimed his thrusters toward the oncroaching beasts and locked his docking clamps down to the floor. Then he lit up his main drives, filling the chamber behind him with the blazing heat of his twin nuclear-fuelled powerplants.

"Burn in the fires of my creator, foul beasts."

Barrage couldn't dodge Sorge's ball and chain, and instead went limp as the weapon slammed him some distance near Skullcruncher. While Skullcruncher transformed into robot mode, Barrage opted to shrink (painfully) into his beetle mode, fluttering away from the mutant hordes, opening laser fire onto the mutants nearby with his antennae while he conserved his strength.
