Been a while since I posted, and three to report:

G1 Twin Twist (courtesy of Clifford T. Jumper - thanks man, great figure) :)

G1 Topspin (not as clean as Twin Twist, but should scrub up OK ready to be Reprolabel-led)

Two more Wreckers off The List. Now c'mon TRU, get some GDO Springers in stat!

Gen. Drift (damn you James Roberts for making me NEED to buy the crew of the Lost Light, damn you to heck!)

Just thinking about pulling the trigger on an MP Soundwave too. Thing is, I've never spent so much for a TF as I'll have to for Soundwave. Seems too much, really. Am I a tight arse?

I'd mess with you and say yes, but I think the decision whether or not to buy MP is really boiling down to whether Hasbro is going to release it cheaper without too much sacrifice :)

If they do, they'll have to make it work at not a huge amount more than a third of the price imports are in the UK or no retail toy store would touch it.

Either way the mould won't be allowed to rest long by Takara so as long as they remain solvent there'll be a Soundblaster and probably a second issue of Soundwave.

I had extra money. I bought toys for the first time in what feels like forever.

Generations Cliffjumper and Prime Arcee. Was going to go with Prime Cliffy J, but decided on the Generations fig because of the head.

Cliffjumper felt like a cheap piece of shit to me when I took him out of the packaging. Anyone else get that? I think I may be a toy snob. Arcee's gun looks ridiculous- I'm told "this is what makes it awesome!", but I dunno...

Minor quibbles to be honest. They both look really good in both modes, IMO. They pose well in robot mode, too.

I've got yet another bunch of Beast Wars toys to go with the bunch a month or so ago -- Ramulus, Injector and Guiledart. Since I bought the latter two only to laugh at them, I know full well how crappy they are, so all in all I'm satisfied.

Got DOTM Powerglide and DOTM Specialist Ratchet as Christmas presents.

I must say I like them both quite a bit, and I'm not one to enjoy the movie aesthetic. Powerglide is pretty awesome for a Scout-ish figure, and he actually looks nice as a Classics stand in. I like the intricacy of the design, even on such a small TF. I didn't think I would like Ratchet, but he's really great. Waaaay better than the 2007 Movie Voyager I had quite a while back. The red plastic is bright and the silver & white paint apps are done well. And my wife got it for $5 at Family Dollar here in the States. Can't beat that!

And on a random trip to Wal-Mart on my way home, I snagged Generations FoC Ultra Magnus! I was surprised since I thought these had only made their way to TRU stores so far.

Magnus' robot mode is absolutely awesome with the sword and gun. He just looks badass sitting there on my shelf. Alternate mode is meh.

I actually saw FOC Magnus and Sideswipe as well as the new Prime Beast Hunter Deluxes at our TRU. I'm thrilled that I wasn't even close to tempted to buy any of them. It's kind of sad, but I've got such a backlog of unopened Transformers that I'm happy Hasbro is being kind to my wallet. Can't say there's anything at all out there I'd be interested in other than the First Edition Voyagers. :(

I picked up Prime Powerizer Dreadwing. He's a pretty cool figure. Looks beautiful in robot mode, except beacuse the joints his shoulders move on don't clip into place, his arms tend to sink down which is a bit poo. And his waist unclips pretty easily. Jet mode is nice and beefy, but slightly spoilt by the 'couldn't be arsed' clutter of robot arms and legs, and the hands poking out behind the jet engine is just all kinds of blah. Shame really, cos the colours are nice and rich and he is a good looking toy overall. And the Mech Tech weapon isn't total dogshit either. Overall, satisified that this guy was worth his £22.00 asking price.

Mini-con Makeshift... as Tesco had blind-packed Universe bags (with toy and by now rather chewy sweets, dated 2010) in what I think was the international food aisle.

My interests have been quite low lately as well. Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 that I really want, FoC Kickback and FoC Grimlock. Thankfully my tastes lean towards Classics type stuff, so there hasn't been much lately for me to want. On top of that I usually stick to one fig per character unless something really amazing comes out that I dig (like RTS G2 Optimus Prime). Hasbro has been kind to my wallet as well!

Well, I got the G1 Decepticon Clones today (Pounce & Wingspan). Not too bad for post-movie, I suppose - a weird concept that suffered from design issues. Kind of cool though.

Woo-hoo...two long, long, LONG overdue shipping mistakes arrived today in the form of RID Dreadwing and Airachind.

DLX RID Airrachnid: Like her a lot more than I thought I would. Transformation is finicky and nearly everything bumps onto the neighboring parts. I have her standing now but I'm not sure she'll stay that way, and the only way to balance the helicopter is to brace the stingers on its sides with the handles pointing down. Nice detail, decent yet very hindered poseability, but those arms are like Animated ACTIVATORS Bumblebee. Two panels with a hinge. To be honest that's very much how RID Vehicons arms are as well, but people are blind to that. :p

VOY RID Dreadwing: LOL is he mistransformed in package or what? After fixing his torso, legs, wings AND backpack he's quite a neat figure, following the trends of all RID figures he's an action figure through and through. He's got joints everywhere and pretty much all three decepticon voyagers I have use standard articulation points on their limbs despite their transformation or kibble. His gun will have to undergo surgery of course [despite being the third voyager I get, this is the first powerizer gun] and the jet mode, while flawed, strikes a very, very sensitive spot with me; it has locking tabs everywhere. Everything tabs on to something to create a very secure jet once you get it right. This alone puts the jet in a B+ position despite the stupid kibble.

Really willing to try out Thundertron and maaaaybe VOY Starscream when I get the cash later on.

Do give RID Voyager Starscream a go - he is really neat. I do prefer him over FE Deluxe Starscream after I've had time to get to know them both well, although FE Deluxe displays better next to RID Voyager Megatron due to size. Ofcourse, FE transformation is a lot more complex, but the FE jet mode is not as good and the robot mode is more cluttered than the RID one too.

Thundertron is fun, and something different for the line. But it's his pirate gimmick really that makes him worthwhile - he's nothing particularly special otherwise.

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.

Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).

Check out my new sale thread now!

Also items on eBay.

Even though I've sworn off the line when pictures and details of wave 01 came through, I find myself oddly going through the roster of the cast very easily in the RID line.

Excluding Skyquake, it has dawned on me that I have a complete cast of Decepticons in toy form without even realizing it. Only other line I've done that was Animated.

Next stop, G2 Bruticus or the Takara version, Thundertron and maaaaybe some BH stuff.

I found Thundertron and Ultra Magnus at a TJ Maxx in Minnesota today for $13 apiece! I had passed on both of them previously, but at half off, I figured why not. Haven't had a chance to open them up yet, and I've still got a couple Christmas TFs to open, but I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually. I'm so spoiled.

Hey! Where you at? I thought you are gonna stop by and say hi. :D Oh well, I never told you where I am, did I? By the way, I'm in Plymouth, MN. Just few hundred miles underneath Warcry.

Back to topic. Yeah, that price is really tempting. I almost picked them up when I saw them in Marshalls. Just couldn't figure out who they should be in my universe, so I passed on them again.

Opened FOC Air Raid last night. He is awesome. I really like the fact he looks so different than Shockwave even though he is just a retool. The new weapons are also awesome. While still huge, they don't feel that awkward like many DOTM deluxe do.

I found them in Mankato while visiting. I used to live in the Twin Cities, so I know where Plymouth is. I currently live in southeastern South Dakota, though, so I probably can't come over to play. :)

I still haven't had a chance to open them, but I was surprised to see them and some of the deluxes like Sergeant Kup and Vehicon since they actually haven't even shown up in some of my local Walmarts and Targets. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'd sure like to see Dreadwing at that price.

Picked up the Fall of Cybertron Generations Soundwave/Laserbeak. I then picked up Rumble/Ravage and Frenzy/Ratbat. Overall, I am pleased with the detailing of the character. Of course, I was disappointed that Optimus' gun was not included as it showed in the picture, but we can't win them all. I started a group on FB if anyone wants to connect. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bottrader/ I ck fb daily, but since I have not been buying/selling or trading, I also have not been keeping up with the TF stuff. Still love this place though!

I picked up FoC Rumble & Ravage to go with FoC Soundwave. Soundblaster was still out of stock at TRU.

FoC Ravage is kind of... janky looking. I dunno. All the discs are to some degree, but Ravage looks like a skeletal mess to my eye. Rumble/Frenzy are OK... they would benefit greatly from some accessories, but they work. Laserbeak and Ratbat, despite having thick wings and no real feet, probably look the best to me. But then again, I wanna see Slugfest and Beastbox get in on this... heh.
