Resetting a wheeel

Post by HotShot81 »

Alright I have a G1 Sideswipe here, and yeah he's not going to win any medals for condition, but he's in decent shape.

I am wondering if anyone knows how to reconnect the pin that holds the wheel in place? Or where do I get replacement pins?

A picture of what your dealing with would help. Which wheel is it? Most of the time your best bet for new pins are found in junked figures on ebay.

The surest way to get another pin that'll match is, as said, from another Sideswipe that's broken in a different way. Barring that, T pins or mushroom pins are reasonably interchangeable. You may need to cut the length to fit, though.

Even so, is the pin broken, or the socket it goes into? If the latter, changing the pin won't matter. You'll need to swap parts with another Sideswipe or repair the socket with some epoxy putty.
