Morals are for old women... at least insofar as a discussion board about an 18-year old toyline where I'm quite unlikely to meet many of the people I 'talk' to, and can really project whatever kind of image I choose is concerned anyway.Originally posted by Garand
Well.. That's the precedence set before I was assigned here.. though I doubt it would be moral.. but since when has that stopped you before
Hey, Runningbee You're a pathetic childish wanker!

You seem to have an unconscionably short memory coupled with an inability to use a mirror... in fact, I think I was one of the first to have a conversation with Cliffy, and it was about TFs. G2, as it happened.Originally posted by Bombshell
We all used to be like this guy. Even you.
GD is cyclic. I'm so much happier not having to read most of it... although, IMO, it's been rather engaging of late.

I'd like to say something, Quicksilver, if I may...
My mom has recently gotten over cancer, so the cancer remark is kinda mean. Oh, and why are you so negative? I mean, "I hope your family gets killed." That's pretty mean, right?
Oh, Runningbee has a close circle of friends, me, Brit, Terry, Tiff, Heather, Cody, and Kayla, and so on... She makes good grades, A+s and A-s, what more could you want? Friends, family, School-wide winner of the Spelling B at school... need I go on?
We're writing a story that we hope will get published, goin' on seventy notebook pages, no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Please Quicksilver, lighten up, just for Christmas...
I hope people read our story. And this goes to everyone out there that makes fun of our story: If anyone makes fun of our story, I'LL POST IT IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSIONS FORUM...
THE WHOLE THING!!!

Mmm... firstly, he didn't start the flaming in this thread, and secondly, he's more likely to die of it than most of us. Thirdly, the comment was largely rhetorical... the point being made that a smiley face doesn't serve to ameliorate a flip-off.Originally posted by The Ghost of Starscream

Possibly the extra life experience that intuits the connection between flaming an entire forum as 'the same thing over and over' and a response likewise making personal comment on repetitiveness of posting content.Originally posted by The Ghost of Starscream

Not exactly the least ignorant of comebacks, is it? Make things personal and few people will have second thought about returning the favour. Just some friendly advice.Originally posted by Runningbee
You can't help but to be jealous because my brain isn't being sucked into the endless world of the Internet.

So, I'm simple-minded, you guys gotta problem with it?? I'm just a seventh grade chorus member that sings School House Rock Live Jr. My mind hasn't had the time to advance. The only thing I'm good for, according tio Runningbee, is typing and talking 'bout Transformers. Is that true?Originally posted by Sixswitch
See Denyer? See the troubles your big words can cause to the simple mind?
And it wasn't the big words that confused me, I get confused really easily. Ask Runningbee. She'll tell you. The only thing I'm good at is drawing pictures out of my confusion like "The Fellowship vs. He-man and the Masters of the Universe vs. Transformers"... Don't ask...
Now, somebody explain all this to me in English, ya know, the language a seventh grader could understand...

Ok Here goes (I'm a bit rusty):
Yo dawg, whatup? Denyer's just tryin' to lay down a few points.
First, your homegirl started it.Originally posted by Stuart Denyer

Second, he be puffin da cancer sticks like a crazy mofo. He got more of a chance of dying of cancer than you, foo'.
Third, what he was saying was only an example. He didn't mean nothin' by it, girl. He was just tryin' to say that a smiley don't make it all good.
He be sayin' that you be needin' to be doin' some growin' up, 'n realize dat your girl be postin' dat this forum be repetitive, when da ironing is dat it's been said befo', meanin' she da one bein' repetitive.Possibly the extra life experience that intuits the connection between flaming an entire forum as 'the same thing over and over' and a response likewise making personal comment on repetitiveness of posting content.

He be sayin' that your comeback be stupid, and you should expect people to dis you if you be dissin' them.
I haven't had a chance to talk ghetto in a while. Yes, it's true. I'm a ghetto boy, but I've been at college so long, I was wondering if I could still do it.
Be afraid.. be very afraid...

Basically, Denyer said it all for me, but probably a lot politer. I was insulted, I defended myself. If you thought the cancer thing was serious you're even more stupid than you seem to be... it was a little tease at the smiley preceding insult thing [btw Garand man, my apologies - if I'd known the example would have been different]...
Runningbee made a comment about the state of the board. I responded with the sentiment that it was much more entralling that his/her/it's [I've rather lost which one of you is who, though it's highly possible you're one and the same] output to date. Instead of simply defending the topic, I get insulted, and defend myself. Of course, the best defence is sometimes a brutal offense, and it made my point.
Also, while I didn't respond at the time, I can say with absolute certainty I was never like this. If we're talking Archive-wise I didn't step into G.D. until well into triple figures, had read the ATT FAQ before joining and only posted about rather obscure comic-related topics for a while - my first one was either requesting ifo about UK G2 or about missing pages of US #50... Life-wise, I was hanging out with friends and dealing with balancig a karting career with schoolwork.
