Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals

Post by CloudStrifer »

One word to say about this game:

Buy it Now!

The graphics are great, the real - time fighting instead of turn based [which resembles Dark Cloud if anybody cares] and overall story line are cool.

The races are cool too, with Me as a Clavat. Swords and magic are cool. 4 different races to chose from, and a great mini-story line that plays whenever your entering the dungeon. Also the years are great, I think its unlimited but since I bought it today I am up to year 2, which means 3 manyria [or something like that] was collected. You village starts out bare, but it has enough slots so you can create about 10 characters and fill it into the village.

The family trades are also a cool idea, with me being a farmer, I get mail from the family with a little gift on the side. Also you can send mail and a gift so its cool to. Its like a book where you write your own story [sort of] and features a diray system which you can look at to see your characters veiws on the events. Meaning if a In game movie is played, chances are after that your character will write about it.

At the end of the year, you get a review, and tells your story from the start to the finnish for that year. The weapon system is improved, with you going to find stuff like blueprints to make swords and armour, which you have to go to the blacksmith to make for a cost. The towns also change with the years, meaning if you came the first town A on year 1, when you go back on Year 2, some people might have died, ran away or some other thing.

The whole storyline arch about you not stepping out of the protective barrier or get killed by the fog, is good. The whole quests revolve around you getting the substance for the crystal which keeps the fog away and your family alive.

If your were going by a game, I recommed this or Prince of Persia for your gamecube.

Highly the Game of the Year. ********** 10 Stars!

I dunno, the whole bit that there's no real epic quest has turned me off of buying it. You're out for yourself and your village and at the end of the year nothing's really changed other than you've collected enough myrh to protect your village for another year...whoopee...

I wouldn't disagree more. I have been to a village that has died in year 2, that was there in year 1, I think. I will have to find it out. The people change, and certainly the situations change for each town that you go through. I think thier is a main quest of you

Spolier Alert

going to find how to end the fog

/Spolier Alert

but other than that I think its just you and your village.

I was going to buy this game, but I need 15 dollars. It looks like a good game, but since KTK got it, now I can't get it because he did. I am trying my hardes to make sense here, but it is hard to do when you have had the improper combination of tylenol PM and vanilla coke. I'm also trying my best to not post something like

HI MY NAME IS KTK AND IA AMJSZADKJ.\

I just had to try to make an "owned" picture. It's not great, but it is my first time trying.

Well, this has certainly gone down the drain.

Maybe you guys aren't at the level yet to enjoy this.

Oh well...

Alright that enough. Either you post properly or don't at all.

Sheeh, I mean I try and post a topic and all you highjack it with your stupid "owned" pictures. Next time, will you please stay out of my threads if you going to be like that.

This was for discussion not for your own goofing off. I am going to ask the mod to delete these posts as they have no value to the discussion.

I'm sorry, CloudStrifer, okay? Maybe we can do an "Owned pics thread" elsewhere...

EDIT: Okay, I made one...
